I spent a lot of time reviewing laptops around the $1,000 dollar mark. This one is the best bang for your buck. I did add a second hard drive. A Samsung EVO 960. And i made it my boot hard drive. It’s crazy Super fast !!! It’s a new model and it was hard for me to find any reviews but 1 i did find said the hard drive was slow. And it is. So do what i did. Add a super fast hard drive and keep the one that comes with the computer to store movies and such. I contemplated the MSI model for the same price but chose the Asus. Not sure how good the MSI is but I’m really digging my ROG !!!

One of the biggest things keeping me from getting sold on this laptop right away was the fact that it only has a 1050, but after taking a quick glance at performance of the 1050 vs 1060, and thinking of what i was going to be playing I decided to just save the 300 ish bucks and go with this. haven't looked back once.

Returned a new Dell that I didn't like for this one. I hate writing reviews but really like this computer. It starts faster than any computer I have owned and I have had many computers and live on them as a professional photographer they are my darkroom. This is my first Asus and I highly recommend it.

With my hopes high and trusting in a good friend, I took the proverbial leap of faith into the gaming PC world. Regardless computer came out of the box SLOW, now I mean super slow, couldnt run wow, couldnt play anything. Download rates were atrocious even when the test ran at 100mbps. Look elsewhere, I tried to troubleshoot it for 6+ hours then realized "I just bought a brand new laptop, this is absurd." Returned it, much happier for it.
