The performance and stability of the laptop are great for my needs. I am a simple user with Word, Excel, Notes, and YouTube TV, internet browsing and music. I am new to AI, and have been benefitting from the CoPilot tie-in. The responses are quick, little overhead or lag. I have a USB C hub running 2 additional monitors, and Bluetooth connection to several devices. The machine connects easily and runs great. I highly recommend this machine.

I absolutely love my MacBook Neo. It’s my first MacBook and it has been a dream to use. I work from home and this thing runs through my whole workday with ease. I made a lot of songs on GarageBand while working multiple apps and it powered through it with absolutely no problem. The indigo color is absolutely beautiful too. Build quality is impressive for the price. The sound quality is great and so is the screen quality. Runs super fast. You would never be able to tell this was a budget laptop if you didn’t know. Set up was very easy and was made easier because of my iPhone. The battery life is great too. I can make it through my whole eight hour workday and still have some juice left. Trust me, this is the best laptop you can get right now on a budget. I absolutely love this MacBook and it is the best computer I’ve ever used, no joke. You will love it. Apple did an amazing job on this machine. Don’t underestimate it. The quality speaks for itself.

There's good and bad with this machine and my 5 star rating reflects that I purchased this at $350. At that price there is a lot to like. It has upscale features like facial recognition log on that works pretty well. It has an NPU with a processor that feels along the lines of a core i5 or ultra core 5 in power. The I/O is great with 2 USB4 type c ports for display, power and data at 40 Gbps. It also has 2 type A at 5 Gbps and a full size HDMI port. You can hook up 3 external displays along with the laptops screen for a total of 4. The battery life is excellent, it's biggest selling feature. On the downside is not all software that you're used to is available for the arm based system. For me, that means I can't print to my Canon printer. The screen is good enough but not great at 1920 x 1200, OLED would have been perfect, even for more money. It weighs in at 3.41 lbs. compared to a Mac Air at 2.7 lbs. It's noticeable. Overall it's nice but you need to be aware of the software availability limitation.

Got the PC on sale for 400, outrageous deal. Slim Type C charger at the price is amazing and battery life is very good. Can last multiple days before charging needed. Perfect for work and AI for summarizing info is like 70/30 but very good overall. Built quilty is also very good Screen is 50/50, better QHD but dim, wish it was 500 nits. Not backlight key but you pay what you get. Overall for under 500, this is a steal.

Some of the best memory and hardware in the price category, it’s nice that this laptop just works. Nothing flashy, but solid all around, I didn’t think I’d need the extra storage but it’s amazing how quick the hard drive fills up really could use a terabyte but otherwise I recommend

Purchased just before year-end as the Deal of the Day, Co-Pilot+ laptop for only $350. The laptop performs well across the board, given the product specs. I appreciate the lack of bloatware pre-installed on the system. Also enjoy the matte finish display, easy to read in all light conditions. No software compatibility issues to date. My only real issue is with the facial recognition (Windows Hello); no problem registering my face repeatedly. Unfortunately, the system hasn't once unlocked the laptop with my registered facial image. Forced to use a pin or a password to unlock the laptop exclusively, a little disappointing.

Not quite "29 hr battery" but one of the biggest selling points for me. It's light-weight, simple but mighty. Wish th keyboard was backlit.

Initially there were glitches setting it up possibly because it was an 'open box' that wasn't quite reset for sale. It was quick and simple though to get it ready to go with Geek Squad help. It is fast. Battery life seems good.

The Verdict The ASUS Vivobook 14 (Model X1407QA) is a game-changer for anyone needing a highly portable, AI-integrated laptop without the premium price tag of a MacBook Air. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor, it excels in efficiency and multi-day battery life, though users should be mindful of ARM-based software compatibility for specialized tools. Pros & Cons Pros Exceptional Battery Life: In real-world productivity (emails, browsing, YouTube), I’ve consistently reached over 15 hours of use, far outlasting Intel-based competitors in this price bracket. Sleek & Portable: Weighing just 3.28 lbs and measuring 0.7 inches thin, it slips into a backpack easily. The "Quiet Blue" finish is professional and unique. Copilot+ Integration: The dedicated Copilot key and 45 TOPS NPU make AI tasks like live captions and document summarization incredibly fast and responsive. Premium Security: Includes a physical webcam shutter and an FHD IR camera for fast, secure Windows Hello face logins. Cons Software Compatibility: Since it uses an ARM processor, some older drivers (like for legacy printers) or specialized software may require emulation or not run at all. No Backlit Keyboard: This specific model lacks a backlit keyboard, which can be a drawback for late-night work sessions. Display Brightness: While the 16:10 FHD+ display is sharp, the 300-nit brightness can feel a bit dim in very bright outdoor settings. Performance in Daily Life Equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB SSD, multitasking feels instantaneous. I typically have 20+ Chrome tabs open alongside Microsoft Word and a video call, and the system stays remarkably quiet and cool thanks to the efficient Snapdragon architecture. Who is this for? This is the perfect laptop for college students or remote professionals who prioritize portability and all-day battery over heavy gaming or intensive video editing. It’s a "no-frills" powerhouse that handles everyday productivity with ease.

The Asus Vivobook with its Snapdragon X processor is plenty fast for doing office work. The 16gb ram it comes with helps with multitasking, and it barely slows down even with many tabs open in Chrome. While Windows in ARM has limitations, I have not encountered any difficulties in installing applications thus far. This laptop is a real portable productivity machine. Windows Hello with its facial recognition is the cherry on top of the proverbial ice cream.

If your day-to-day is light to medium (documents, browsing, video calls, media, Copilot+ tasks), this Vivobook feels solid and the 16 GB RAM absolutely helps keep experience smooth. The Snapdragon X is efficient and pleasant; it doesn’t heat up, it keeps noise low, and the battery life is a real plus. But if you regularly push your laptop with heavy workloads, open huge files, or rely on performance-intensive tools, you will notice the Snapdragon X’s limitations — and no amount of RAM will bridge that gap. Best for: Students, remote workers, content consumption, productivity, AI-assisted tasks
