this laptop is good for basic computing needs. the processor is a recent generation i3 that is better than previous generations' i5 because of core count and core management. The included RAM is soldered on, but there is a free slot to easily add another stick. The storage is m.2 PCIe, so its easy enough to upgrade. The only thing I didn't really like was the screen. Its a TN panel that exhibits a lot of mirroring. I ended up upgrading to an IPS panel. I took a chance on a B140HAN06.E because of the brightness, but it barely fit because of the thickness (I had to remove the padded tape around the bezel to get the bezel to go back on). If you are planning to upgrade everything, ram and ssd prices have gone up 2-3x as of 02/2026, so probably just look for something that already has everything you need.

This laptop is light weight, sleek and easy to work with. My only complaints is that the touch pad stopped working other than that is a good laptop for on the go.

My wife's Macbook that she uses for music editing is ancient and too slow for her to handle basic word processing and email, so we picked this up with some rewards, and it's been incredible for her getting basic things done and using Microsoft Word. Great lightweight machine for simple tasks!

A great value. This laptop offers a a good possessor much better than the celeron N offered in other laptops at this price range. Plus 8 gig of ram with an open slot to upgrade. Does everything I need. Surf the web, email, videos, spreadsheets. Do your homework and you will see what a good laptop this is for the price

We got this as a replacement for my husband who is in college. It handles assignments and research wonderfully. Battery lasts all day, it is used all day without recharging. Great laptop at a great price.

Purchase this laptop open box excellent for $199. Build quality is solid but understand we're not speaking of an aluminum but instead a composite construction. I bought this with the intention of making is a linux machine and with the i3-1315 processor, I expanded the memory easily to 24 gb, m2. drive to 512 gb with no issues. The machine runs Linux and windows 11 smooth and responsively. The only two downsides to me is the 1080p screen which is not as vibrate and sharp as maybe one twice the cost and the battery life which so far is about 4 hours. What more should I expect for what I paid? Overall this have been a great purchase that should last for the foreseeable future.

Bought this for a friend needing a good basic laptop. A lot of bang for the buck, for the deal of the day. I have the exact same model and I love it. Easy to grab and go. If you need a lightweight, compact laptop, this is it. I think ASUS is a good company, not like the company that is an acronym for Horrible Product. LOL.

I was using an ASUS E210MA, and changed to this machine which runs much faster and has 8GB of ram vs 4. This Vivobook is larger (14") than the older ASUS (11") whose size I liked for traveling. For my basic purposes this Vivobook does everything well.

Pros: The 2-in-1 design is perfect for creativity—tablet mode with a stylus (not included) is great for drawing. The 14" 2K touch screen offers vibrant colors, and the Intel Core 5 with 512GB SSD handles light editing well. Love the premium speakers! Cons: 8GB RAM can slow down with multiple creative apps open.

The laptop works good. Good quality. I would recommend someone else to buy it.

I needed something smaller and enough memory for how I use it. Its the perfect size and easier to take with me on the go. Still getting use to the keyboard in reference to the numbers generally on the left side of the keyboard are now in a different location and I'm constantly turning it on and off which is a little aggravting, however its a work in progress for me. It also freezes up from time to time, can't quite figure out what causes it, but could be user error also. I've purchased ASUS laptops before and they were all reliable and will definitely purchase again. Need to give myself sometime to get used to.

So far like this computer. Fairly speedy, good resolution on screen. I use primarily for tracking checkbook, budgeting, photos, etc. one thing I am not fond is the keyboard. It has taken me a lot of time. Check with me in 6 months.

I did find some things I liked about The ASUS-Vivobook 14 14" FHD Laptop - Intel Core i3 -8 GB Memory but overall I was very disappointed in this laptop. Granted it is only on i3 but I expected more since it was the updated version of i3. 1. Although it is a nice looking laptop It is much heavier than I expected. Making it less handy for backpacks. 2. I loved the way the keyboard sit lower than normal in the laptop. It was very comfortable for my hand and fingers to type. 3. I really thought I would love the number pad that easily turns on and off and fills the touchpad. The numbers also are still on the keyboard as usual. However I hated this numbered pad. It kept putting in numbers more than once no matter how soon I took my finger off the number. The pad is also very hard to keep clean. Just setting up the laptop for the first time my pad was very dirty with smudges from my fingerprints. I had no lotion on and my hands were clean. I don't like that. 4. The electric cord to plug in is included. I only wish the prongs folded into the block so it would be easier to carry when traveling. 4. It comes with a small paper manual which is handy as most laptops have everything online these days. This may be a great laptop for children grades 3-7 but I do not feel that is is right for me at all.

A wonderful laptop, use to work very efficiently, Not big so that it can be put in my bag, also it is light, not to much heavy, what is more, easy to operate, the FHD screen makes my eyes comfortable, it has a very clear ,high-resolution screen!

Got this on a great "Daily Deal" - well worth what I paid. Color is nice, battery life is decent, and I like that it at least comes with 8gb of RAM. Wish the SSD was bigger, but for the sale price it's fine and can be upgraded later pretty easily.

Great laptop for the price ram and SSD is also user upgradable and you don't have to go through feet or stickers to do so the screen is good for the price no complaints I recommend going no lower than a i3 1315u

Had a get a laptop for a robotics class to run Ubuntu and ROS. Works great and fast. No trouble installing Linux.

This was actually recommended to me by an employee at Best buy and I'm so glad he did recommend it. I love this laptop easy to use it's light and works great for me for my business. Highly recommend!

I bought this computer because of its size and weight; it's very portable. I use it for programming, Power BI work, and other tasks, and it performs very well. All at an excellent Price.
