    Worst Wifi

I bought this ASUS wifi7 last July 2025. Last November one of the Mesh starting to lose connections. I noticed it because my pc keeps losing connection when I'm online. But the good thing is when I connected it "wired", it works. The other 2 Mesh doesn't fair well either. When my other wireless devices loses connection (like changed batteries, reboot, turned off) it will not automatically connect to any of the other Mesh. I have to optimized or refresh these 2 Mesh and sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. So my other wireless devices that would not connect, I have to connect it directly to my T-Mobile router. Now my T-Mobile router has over 15 wireless devices connected and the main Mesh has 4, the other has 2 and the other has 1 (wired). Today, I installed my old TP-Link wifi6 back and it works much better (and faster) than this ASUS wifi7. I paid $370 for this router and I'm stuck with this junk.

    High quality, long distance signal

super impressed by this mesh network router system. Took me about 30 minutes to grt it all unpackaged and read the directions and set everything up and do updates. Note, it DOES take some time for the second and third one to connect. like, minutes of just sitting and waiting. but once they connect, very long range and fast wifi. 5/5 stars.

    ASUS ZenWiFi 7 (BE5000) – A Lifesaver for Gamers

If you are looking to future-proof your home network, the ASUS ZenWiFi 7 BE5000 is an absolute beast. I upgraded to this mesh system to handle a busy household and, more importantly, to lock down my gaming setup. The Pros: Next-Gen WiFi 7 Speed: It utilizes the 6GHz band and Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which basically means it juggles multiple bands at once to give you the fastest, most stable connection possible. Zero-Lag Gaming: I set this up specifically for high-intensity gaming (mostly fighting off endless waves of zombies), and the latency is practically nonexistent. No packet loss, no random spikes—just pure, smooth performance. Massive Coverage: The mesh nodes blanket the entire house. Dead zones are completely gone, and it handles dozens of smart devices without breaking a sweat. Easy Management: ASUS’s software makes it incredibly easy to prioritize gaming traffic so your downloads or streams don't choke your bandwidth mid-match. The Cons: Premium Investment: It’s an investment, but given the WiFi 7 specs and the build quality, you absolutely get what you pay for. The Verdict: Whether you’re working from home, streaming 4K content, or trying to survive a zombie apocalypse online without lagging out, the BE5000 delivers. It’s reliable, blazingly fast, and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

    Mesh is worth the purchase!

We purchased this item to go from WiFi 6 in our setup to mesh network. It is exceedingly better coverage and speed than old setup.

    Love this WiFi Mesh system!

Finally getting the speed that I’m paying for! I was getting less than half of what I was paying from my internet provider. So upgrading to this mesh WiFi set up was so important! Easy to set up as well!

  • Can you connect to your existing modem wirelessly or do you need a long ethernet cable

You must use an ethernet cable to connect your main ZenWiFi BE5000 unit directly to your existing modem, it does not have a "wireless repeater" mode to connect to a modem without a cable. However, you only need the ethernet cable for the main router connected to your modem. The other two ZenWiFi units can be connected to the main router wirelessly to expand your network.

  • Can I use this with Verizon’s fastest internet and would it be just as fast?

There are a lot of factors to weigh in when speed is mentioned for routers, such as distance and how many objects there are to interfere with the signal. However, it'll work great with Verizon.
