Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB A terrific turntable for the money! This is an updated version of when it was released in 2009 hence the “X” in the model number. Did lot’s of research reading many reviews and rankings from audio sites and owners and this turntable overall was always ranked highly. Love it! FYI another great turntable for the money is the Fluance RT81 and their Reference Series. I purchased the AT120XUSB for the den and a Fluance RT for the bedroom. You can’t go wrong with either!

I STILL have all my records from when I was in high school and college...and I'm in my sixties now...and after thinking I would not be able to play them anymore, finding this great Audio-Technica turntable here was a literal way to reconnect with the memories from my youth. And in such a comprehensive way.... It has the all important grounded phono output BUT it also has a switch to toggle between phono and line output signals...this means you don't need a separate pre-amp. It also has a USB connection...meaning you can record your records to your PC or Mac with the right software. I have records you can't get at the iTunes store...so, yes. IT HAS A COVER!!! No more dusty turntable, swingarm, or controls. Yas. And it comes with a cartridge and the output switch means you can use any cartridge. Again, yas. I think I will go listen to some records now. :) ;) <3 <3 <3

This record player is awesome! The tone arm takes some serious patience, but other than that set up is very straight forward, was spinning records in less than an hour. Coming from a crosley with built in speakers, the sound is so noticeably better! Very happy with my purchase

I would say this turntable is of the highest quality for the price. Comes with a stylus so you can start playing your vinyl soon as you set it up. Built in pre-amp or switch it off if you have your own. Overall very happy with this purchase!

I bought the Audio Technica AT-LP60 and had it for just a couple of days and returned it to get the Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB. There is a big quality difference. What I did miss about the LP60 is the automatic nature of it. I really like the new one but when it gets to the end of the album you better be around because you have to reset it manually. Unless I am missing something it will just get to the end and the needle stays on the LP and just goes round and round. But overall it is super nice and the sound is amazing.

Great upgrade from the original Audio Technica AT-LP120. Love the Black color. Better tracking, tonearm control, better stereo cartridge and stylus, better lighting. Better all around! This is a great turntable!

This is a great turntable for both budget minded and high fidelity music lovers. A middle of the road price with high end quality. Please remember that you with either need powered speakers or a pre-amplifier in order to enjoy this type of turntable. Best Buy delivery was excellent and on time.

I absolutely love my turntable ! Setting up might seem overwhelming, but I assure you it’s not and quite intriguing! If theirs something you should know before buying is you’ll need speakers ! I personally used the insignia indoor/outdoor speakers and they work perfectly for my room and super easy to set up but other than that that’s all you’ll need to start up !

You can spend more but this is one of the best values out there. AT offers several styli that will upgrade the stock stylus.

I’m sure there are better turntables than this one but I wouldn’t trade this one for the best made !

I purchased this after my vintage player bit the dust. I was very surprised on how will this player sounds. Once it's been setup put on a record and enjoy the tunes. For the price of the player you cannot go wrong.

There's not too much to say, other than this is well worth the money. The setup is easy. DO NOT skip any of the setup, it is critical.

It works and the sound is great. I miss my old one in part because things were more automatic but I'm getting used to it.

Borrowing engineering from its highly regrarded Technics 1200 forebearers no longer made, this seems to be the best entry level turntable for the money these days. Ready to go right out of the box with minimum assembly. You can plug this into a preamp from the phono out terminal or directly into an amplifier without preamp through the aux. out, that is to say this unit has the equivalent of its own built in preamp if need be. I went right into my flea powered SET amplifier. Extra bonus is the 78rpm speed option which will require an additional 78 cartridge/stylus not included. I just purchased an additional head shell and 78 cartridge/stylus for easy and quick change overs. Sound is just fine for an entry level system. I have several more serious turntables as well. Hard to beat this current model for the price imo. The modern USB interface is yet another desirable feature and may be you main reason to purchase this unit.

I bought the AT-LP120XUSB to replace a Pioneer PL-990. I use it for home listening and am very happy with the upgrade. The first thing I noticed is how substantial this is compared to the other turntables I have owned. At 17.6 lbs, it outweighs the 990 by almost 10 pounds and feels very solidly built. The feet are adjustable and have good dampening properties. The packaging is very nice, and everything is well protected. One thing to note is that some of the pieces (cover hinges, headshell, counterweight, and cue light) are in one of the Styrofoam ends that holds the turntable in the box. Setup was relatively easy, and Audio-Technica has a YouTube video that shows you exactly what to do. Basically, it's put the platter on the spindle, drop on the slipmat, install the headshell (the cartridge is already installed on the headshell), balance the tonearm, set up the anti-skate, and you're ready to go. The whole process took no more than 10 minutes, and I spent much of that time double-checking the balance of the tonearm. The direct drive system works well. The quartz-controlled speed is spot on and rock solid. There is no motor noise that I can hear, either through the sound system or mechanically. The sound quality is excellent. I have a decent, mid-range system and this fits in well. The included AT-VM95E cartridge has decent frequency response (20 - 22,000 Hz) and produces good, full sound. I'm using the turntable's built-in pre-amp and it does the job well. One thing I really like is the ability to record using USB. I'm using Windows, and it was simply a matter of plugging in the cable and starting Audacity. The turntable shows up as a source in the drop-down (for me it was already selected) so all I had to do was start playing and hit record in the software. So far I haven't come across anything I don't like. At first I wasn't sure about the fully manual operation, coming from the automatic PL-990, but it isn't really an issue. If anything, it makes the whole process of listening to records even more engaging for me. If you are looking for a good mid-range turntable that doesn't break the bank, this is definitely one to consider.

I love this record player. Definitely more advanced, so I had a little learning to do but I am in love.
