Why doesn't the turntable arm return to resting position after album is finished playing?
Answered by AudioTechnicaBecause it is a fully manual turntable. Not everyone wants auto-return, or auto anything. You want either a semi-automatic, or a fully automatic turntable. A semi-automatic turntable will automatically return the tonearm at the end of play and stop spinning. You will still have to manually start the turntable however. A fully automatic turntable will return and stop as well, and it will also start with the press of a button. It will start spinning, the arm will lift up off the tonearm rest, go over to the beginning of the record, then go down to the record and start playing it. We do manufacture some fully automatic models at this time. No semi-automatic models however. Consider the AT-LP60 Series or the AT-LP3 Fully Automatic Turntables instead.
If I connect the turntable to my computer via USB will I be able to hear the record through the computer's speakers?
Answered by AudioTechnicaIt depends on what type of computer you have, Windows or Mac, and the Operating System on the computer. Windows computers have a "Listen to this device" option that will allow the turntable to play through the computers speakers without the use of an audio recording program, Mac computers do not have such an option however, you will need an audio recording program installed on your Mac computer that has a MONITOR function which allows you to listen to a record through the computers speakers without having to actually be recording the record at the time.
I have an older toshiba combination am/fm cassette stero amp with a seperate component turntable. The turntable has quit working correctly. Can I use this turntable with my amp and speakers?
Answered by AudioTechnicaIf the stereo has a dedicated PHONO input that accepts magnetic type phono cartridges, the turntable can be used with this input. If the PHONO input does NOT support a magnetic type phono cartridge, the turntable can be used with a line level input such as AUX IN instead. In this case, you will need to turn on the phono preamplifier located inside the turntable. This is done by setting the preamp selector switch located on the rear of the turntable to the LINE position.

Can someone from geek squad come to a coustomers house after they purchased a plan ?? I cant get my turntable to work..i have tried everything and anything and still cant get any sound..mabye i can talk to someone on the phone ?? thanks
Answered by AudioTechnicaIf you are connecting the turntable to any type of input OTHER THAN a PHONO input make certain that the phono preamplifier inside the turntable is turned on. That is the preamp selector switch located on the rear of the turntable is set to LINE.
