Paying in four installments with Zip
What is Zip?
Zip is a flexible payment option available at Best Buy that makes it easier to manage your budget while still getting the products you need. With Zip, you can split your purchase into four interest-free payments, providing an alternative to paying the full amount upfront. From crystal-clear OLED TVs and powerful gaming laptops to smart home devices and small kitchen appliances, this convenient payment solution is available for almost any item in-store or online.
Zip is simple to use whether you’re shopping on BestBuy.com or in person. When checking out on Best Buy’s website or with the Best Buy app, select Zip under “Other Payment Options” and follow the prompts to log in or create an account. If you’re approved, Zip will present a payment breakdown, allowing you to review and agree to the terms before completing your purchase. For in-store purchases, you can use a physical Zip Card supplied by Zip Co to pay after making a purchase request of $35 or more in the Zip app.
To sign up for a Zip account and pay over time, you’ll need to provide basic information, including your name, address, date of birth and a U.S. mobile number. A U.S. debit or credit card is also required for purchases.
How does Zip work? Zip payments explained
Zip payments are designed to be straightforward and manageable, with your first installment due at checkout. This initial Zip payment secures your purchase, while the remaining three payments are automatically scheduled over the next six weeks. Before completing your transaction, you’ll receive a clear payment schedule so you know exactly when your installments are due.
To help you stay on track, Zip sends reminders before each payment. You can also use the Zip app to check your payment schedule, update your payment method or even pay off your balance early if you choose. If you ever need to send a purchased item back, you can refer to Best Buy’s return and exchange policy and Zip will automatically be notified of your return.
Whether you’re shopping online for supplies to set up your smart home or purchasing unique gifts to bring to a holiday party in-store with a Zip credit card, each order is reviewed separately for approval when making multiple purchases with Zip. And, all your payments can be managed easily within the Zip app.
