About This Item

Experience the high-fidelity sound of vinyl records with this Audio-Technica manual belt-drive turntable. This Audio-Technica manual belt-drive turntable has a selectable phono preamp and removable dual RCA output for compatibility with different components.
  • Key Specs
    • Drive Type: Belt drive
    • Operation Type: Manual (Automatic turntables move the tonearm into position to begin playing a record and remove it when the record is finished, typically with a single push of a button. Semi-automatic turntables require user interaction to place the tonearm inititally, but will automatically remove it after playback. Manual turntables require the user to place and remove the tonearm as needed.)
    • Integrated Preamp: true (An audio component that amplifies the turntable's audio signal to a level compatible for connection to a sound system.)
    • Cartridge Type Included: MM (Moving Magnet) (Phono cartridges translate the grooves in a record into electrical signals to produce sound. There are two main types: moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC). Generally, MM cartridges have a robust design and high output levels. MC cartridges have an inverse design of MM that is lightweight and more precise, but usually require a preamp to boost their lower output signals.)
    • Audio Only Outputs: 1 x Phono
    • Network Connector(s): No network connectors

Q: I have a vintage Kenwood receiver with a phono hookup. My Dual cs 508 turntable doesn't seem to want to work anymore. Will this turntable work with the phono hookup? And if not, which turntable that Best Buy carries will? Thanks!

A: Yes it will work. All of our turntables, with the exception of the AT-LP140XP Professional DJ Turntable, have both non-equalized PHONO level and RIAA equalized LINE level output. There is a switch on the rear of the turntable which allows you to select PHONO or LINE level out. Since you have phono jacks on your receiver you would set the preamp selector switch on the turntable to PHONO.
