Superior conductor metals minimize distortion thanks to having fewer grain boundaries and fewer impurities (such as oxides) at those boundaries. Solid High-Density Polyethylene insulation helps maintain critical signal-pair geometry. Of course, all AudioQuest Ethernet cables are controlled for RF-noise directionality, efficiently dissipating noise away from the system's vulnerable audio circuitry; arrows indicate the direction (from source to destination) for the best audio performance.

High-purity Long-Grain Copper (LGC) allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries, and definitively better performance. The surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the electric fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields outside the conductor.
Geometry Stabilizing Solid High-Density Polyethylene
Carefully selected and optimized for its ability within an Ethernet cable to minimize distortion and preserve dynamics.

All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. When applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
