This game is way easier when compared to the main series games though controlling the two characters at the same time sometimes feels like a challenge when things are chaotic. It runs well and looks cute. If you never played any of the Bayonetta games and are more into the stories this would be a good one to start with. So far very happy with the game

Its a action-adventure game for the Nintendo Switch that serves as a prequel to the Bayonetta series, good game

This is a very cute game with an engaging story and lovely visuals. Cereza and Cheshire both have to learn how to get along with each other. The gameplay can be a bit tricky with controlling two different characters.

One of the most beautiful games on the Switch with its unique cell shaded graphical style that reminds me of Okami. This unfortunately comes at the cost of a 30 fps (that can dip a bit especially when a lot of enemies appear on screen or for the final boss) cap. So this means the Switch 2 won't be able to run this in higher framerates. Story is relatively simple with Cereza (Bayonetta in the future) trying to save her mother Rosa. Along the way she runs into a demon that possesses her stuffed cat, Cheshire, as she pursues this boy who appears in her dreams, Lukaon, into Avalon Woods. The story is better than Bayonetta 3 without going into much detail about the ending sequences. Cereza's relationship with Cheshire is also developed nicely. Gameplay wise, this is an adventure game more akin to Okami or Zelda where you unlock new abilities that let you access new areas. Combat is a bit simple where you control Cereza and Cheshire with two analog sticks and shoulder buttons. Cereza can bind enemies with her magic, but Cheshire is responsible for the actual attacks. The biggest flaw though with this game is how bad the map is. It doesn't tell you what areas the arrows on the map lead into and it can be confusing figuring out what level a collectible is located on. Another flaw is the amount of combat trials thrown into the game, combat in the game doesn't have much depth yet there are so many repetitive combat trials. Game might be a tad on the easy too aside from one boss. Despite those flaws, I still recommend the game highly for those who enjoy adventure games.

This game is quite good in and of itself. The gameplay is rather easy compared to the difficulty of Bayonetta 1 and 2, and it is advertised as a more casual experience. The last boss' difficulty does ramp up quite a bit and by then you're basically playing mainline Bayo. The music is charming and there are lovely renditions of songs heard in B1. The writing is quite good, however at some point you can see how this game was in development before B3 and had to shoehorn a tie-in to B3.

Great art style and controlling two characters at once makes it feel different from other games I played. Hope this continues a trend of Bayonetta sequels delving into other genres

Gorgeous art style, engaging world and story, clever puzzles that don't feel too simplistic or challenging. The music is captivating, and the voice performances are strong - even the storybook-like narration never ends up being overbearing or annoying. Aside from a map that is a little unhelpful when it comes to tracking down all the collectibles, everything about Bayonetta Origins is sublime. It may not play like a more traditional Bayonetta title, but this is one of the best and most polished games on Switch and should be a part of anyone's collection.

It is a beautiful and charming game with a unique storybook art style. The dual-character gameplay is creative and fun, and the story adds depth to Bayonetta’s origin.

I'm still playing the game, but the different mechanics (controling two characters at the same time) add a nice challenge. It's not the Bayonetta games in the same way as 1, 2, and 3, but a nice origin story.

Came faster than expect, thanks. This game, chef’s kiss. The immediate nostalgia, yet entice of a Nintendo side scroller. No Hud and utilization of both joycon, sometimes simultaneously, scratches an itch and immersion is beautiful. 10/10 trying to not complete it in one sitting. 10/10 wouldn’t be mad completing 10 times without

As the title says, Bayonetta was never really an IP I cared too much about but something about this artstyle and gameplay peaked my interest. Probably the most charming and soulful game to come out in the past decade. It’s obvious this game comes from the same devs who worked on Okami

Bayonetta Origins is a joy from start to finish. Presentation, art/world design, music are all wonderfully crafted & the new mechanics compliment a young Bayonetta. The map can be a tad confusing but overall a fantastic game. Dont sleep on it!

I enjoyed playing Bayonnetta and another copy was given to my grandson. Very interesting storyline, battle requires a lot of concentration, but I love it as well as the characters. PS, I like to give a shot out to a Customer Service rep who went out of her way to make sure my purchases were correct. She even made sure I got the bundle (buy2 get one free) with the membership discount of 20 dollars. Mad e the membership I purchased so worthy.
