Great product. My mom was cooking and something was burning. I notice when I open the door of my room. All the house has the burning smell but my room. Looking to buy 2 mores.

My place is cleaned regularly. However, dust builds up quick perhaps cos a window is always open. As I have asthma, I was looking for a solution. For me, this was perfect and works well. Its looks ok, has HEPA filter and comes with two cloth socks to go over filer (mine were gray and blue.) Extra filters can be bought on Amazon for $20 dollars. One can also buy extra filter socks for when others are being washed.

Overall I’m pretty disappointed with this air filter. I put it in my small bedroom, which is less than 100 sq. ft, and let it run on the HIGH setting (which is incredibly loud) day and night for the past 4 days nonstop and I’m still seeing A LOT of particulate floating around in the air, like literally no less than before I got the filter. I have bad allergies and they’ve not improved at all, they almost seem worse. It seems like all it does is blow the air around. I even picked it up and was holding it in the air right next to particulate I saw floating around and I couldn’t see anything being sucked in. If it can’t suck up particulate that’s directly next to it then I’m not sure how this thing is capable of cleaning the air in an entire room. Aside from its poor performance, it’s also been producing a bad smell, it’s hard to describe but the best thing I can compare it to is old paper, like a stale, old smell. It’s supposed to get rid of odors but now my entire apartment smells old and stale. The settings also make no sense, on the low setting the fan spins so slowly that barely any air is being moved, then the medium setting the fan spins very loudly, and the high setting is even louder. There should be a fourth setting in between the low and medium settings that’s actually functional but not really loud. Regardless, I could overlook the noise if it actually filtered air, but it doesn’t perform its most basic function. I wish I’d have spent the money on a better filter, I feel like I’ve wasted $120.

Many new products release a new smell upon opening and using right out of the box. This is also true for filter media. Filter fibers can absorb a smell from other materials during the packaging process. This smell and all components involved during our filter production are harmless and non-toxic. This newness smell should move through and out of the filter within 48 hours of use. If you have run the air purifier for 48 hours and are still experiencing this issue, please email info@blueair.com and we would be happy to set you up with a new filter. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/blueair.jpeg" alt="blueair" title="blueair" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;"/>

We bought the 411 to try and it ended in our bedroom. Wicked easy to setup, literally just pull out of the box, plug in and turn on. I actually had to put my ear down toward it to make sure it was working when I turned it on, it genuinely is dead silent on the first level. We leave it on the first level during the day and turn it to the second at night. Second level is a little louder but still not bad at all, we prefer sleeping with noise anyway. Maybe comparable to a small fan. Within two days we noticed a difference and within a week, a huge difference. The room smells fresh, it’s crazy. We’re about a month in and it’s great. It’s been moved into the home office a few times too. Wicked light! Will either be washing or vacuuming the prefilter for the first time this weekend. We love this so much, after the first week we bought the 211+ for the living area. Genuinely happy with the purchases.

Great price point, it has a small footprint, replacement filters are not super expensive, it's easy to use, for small apts. I don't have to spend $$ and get a huge bulky monolith for the total sq. feet of my apt. It can be moved around - I might just get another for the other room. I feel as though the air in the room is cleaner, I can breathe comfortably. The 3 way switch is a little hard to press, but you can change from low, med and high, depending on what you're doing. Mostly, I just have it on low, and it's quiet. Medium sounds like a white noise machine, and high is loud, incase you need to clean the air fast. Now, I'll be ready for wildfire season.

The unique minimal design is very nice. There are 2 color covers for the filter, charcoal grey, and teal blue. The three settings are simple touch control, but the light indicator can be bright if used during the night. A simple cover is fine, just don't obstruct the fan airflow. The highest setting is quite loud (day use), but the low setting is perfect for overnight. Medium works well for filtration during the day if you are video conferencing. Other than that it is great!

First air purifier. Should have purchased one much sooner than I did. I have some sensitivity to dust, and this machine does a solid job of cutting it down in the bedroom it currently sits in. Easy to unbox and setup, and operation is simple. There are three fan settings. The fan noise for the slowest fan setting is barely audible. The medium setting is equivalent to a very small table fan. Filter replacement looks simple, and filter life is estimated to be six months. One star withheld for a lack of sensor to adjust speed based on how nasty the air is, and an average job of clearing room smells.

Very quiet on low setting and looks very sleek and modern. Ease of use and room gets noticeably fresh. I have allergies and once I had this turned on for a couple hours, I noticed an immediate improvement on my sinuses.

This blue air filter made the world of difference during the fires last year. I like that you can wash the outer filter to reuse it, making maintenance also affordable. It's very light. The highest speed you can hear if you're trying to sleep, so I just put it on medium and you can't hear it at all. Very good product for those who want to have clean air for an affordable rate. I'll buy again!

Great little air purifier. While it doesn't keep my office dust free, it definitely helps cut down how dusty everything gets. Also, it looks pretty good and is very quiet.

A very quiet and effective unit, especially at the medium speed setting. It is a compact and stylish unit which can sit comfortably on the floor or a desk, suitable for a bedroom or home office. In addition, it is incredibly easy to use and maintain. Filter replacement costs look to be reasonable. It's affordable, even at list price, but a real bargain if you can find it on sale!

Replaced a noisy tower purifier with the Blue Pure 411 and been very happy with it. I've had it for a month in my bedroom. Med fan is my preferred setting (for noise) but I have been running on high most nights because of allergy season. Sounds like a small, well built fan... no rattles or clicks. Prefilter changes and washes easy. I love the simple design - a fan on top of a cylindrical pleated filter

I have tried a number of air purifiers to help with indoor allergies and all others have one issue or another. This purifier checks all the right boxes; whisper quiet operation, long-lasting filters that are stocked by Best Buy at reasonable a prices and 3 fan settings with no unnecessary, distracting bright led lights.

Was not sure after reading previous reviews but this is the best filter I had. I needed a better air filter for my semi truck with sleeper as I am actually allergic to many things in dust and have had years of stuffy and bleeding noses. After putting in my Semi all the issues I had for years went away and no need for medication anymore unless outside long. My truck is now my safe haven thanks to this filter. Super light weight and as quite as a quality filter gets. No filter is without some sound but this one is acceptable and on low and even speed 2 setting I can not hear much of the sound. All you hear is the air blowing with a smooth sound. Super happy with this and can't wait to get the bigger one on sale for the house now. I bought the best portable filter system on amazon had and returned it. I paid a little more for this but it's worth it. Big difference on the weight of the boxes. Love this freaking thing!!!

I bought a second unit of this after owning one for almost two months. I'm no expert on air purifiers but I can tell a before and after in the air quality in my room. The device is really light, has three different speed settings and the slowest one it's perfect for sleeping (you really can't hear it). The filter replacement cost $20 and you have to replace it after 6 months, that's cheaper than the $30 GermGuardian air purifier filter replacement (which I used to own). It's a little bit bigger from what I was expecting the first time, but that wouldn't stop me from recommend it.

After looking up information on air purifiers and talking several times with associates who were knowledgeable and knew their products, we opted to buy the BLUEAIR. It is a perfect size for the bedroom & we breathe better so we sleep better. We are happy with it. It is quiet & cleans the air.

Size is appropriate for a small room and runs extremely quiet, except for the highest setting which you should expect to be loud-ish. Very easy to setup out of the box and stylish design.

We bought 2 of these when the wildfires started and they continue to be a big help in improving the quality of our indoor air. They don't take up much space, are quiet, and the light isn't too bright in the bedroom on the low setting which is what we use most of the time. It was a great investment.
