A regrettable purchase. I have had these earphones for several months. I previously had Sony headphones but needed something low profile for work and other active settings. This is my first product from Bose so I really had no expectations going into it, but after everyday use, I definitely wish I had purchased another product. The sound quality, charging case, noise reduction and style are excellent, but the Bluetooth and the build quality are severely lacking. I was constantly having Bluetooth issues, literally my music would stop midway through my session forcing me to manually connect back in my settings. Near the latter half of my experience with these earphones, the left side of my set had unexpectedly got softer, and no amount of cleaning restored the volume back to that ear, so I always had full volume in one ear and almost nothing in the other. There’s a rubber (unsure of the material) ring that exists on the earbud and often it would turn, fray, or fall off causing some issues. If the rubber turns and you put it back in the case without realizing, then the earbud wouldn’t sit properly and it wouldn’t charge for the duration of its time in the case. There’s nothing worst starting a shift to hear the “low battery” warning. It does charge fairly quickly but it’s still something to lookout for. Honestly, future editions of these earbuds have potential, but for now, I can’t say this was a worthwhile purchase, especially at this price.

Hi TitanF, thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the sound quality, charging case, noise reduction, and style. The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) offer a battery life of up to 6 hours with Immersive Audio off and 4 hours with Immersive Audio on. With a fully charged case, you can expect up to 18 hours of use. Charging times are approximately 2 hours for the earbuds, 3 hours for the case, and a quick 20‑minute charge provides up to 2 hours of use. If you are experiencing shorter battery life, here’s a helpful troubleshooting guide you can use to resolve this issue: https://bose.life/3OTp12k
Bluetooth disconnections can occur for several reasons, such as moving too far from the paired device (Bluetooth typically works within about 30 feet), interference from nearby devices like Wi‑Fi routers or microwaves, outdated drivers or firmware, or power‑saving settings that limit performance. Pairing with multiple devices at once or rare hardware faults can also cause repeated drops. Environmental factors, such as crowded areas with many wireless signals, and mismatched Bluetooth versions may further contribute to connection issues. To improve stability, keep devices close, update firmware and software, disable battery saver mode, disconnect unused pairings, and restart both devices to clear temporary glitches: https://bose.life/48ZFtVs
It’s also important to make sure the earbuds are seated properly inside the charging case. Ensuring the rubber rings are aligned correctly can help prevent charging issues. Here’s a helpful guide that can walk you through adjusting the rubber rings for a proper fit: https://bose.life/4vJNKqi
We hope these guides help improve your listening experience. If you need further assistance, we encourage you to reach out to us through this link (http://bose.life/globalsupport) so we can look into the issues you experienced and explore possible solutions.

Ok Fit. Volume not very loud. The noise cancelling is good for regular use. However, when worn on a motorcycle (inside helmet) the headphones become completely unuseable. I tried all different settings (including no extras whatsoever [and no noise cancelling], just used as normal headphones), and over 40 mph the headphones have a total loss of function. At first they begin to cut out as if there is a connection problem (imagine your radio signal is going in and out), and as speed and outside noise increases all sound simply disappears except for sporadic crackling. I was very disappointed. I tested them over multiple days with a lot of different variables, always with the same results. During regular day to day they are fine, but not worth the price. I tried all the different size options provided and they never felt super secure when at the gym. Sound quality is ok and the equalizer is nice. I replaced them with the Sony LinkBuds Fit, which are all around much better.

Great for music, but unacceptable for calls. When using them with my iPhone, the person on the other end cannot hear me. I exchanged the pair, thinking they were defective, but the problem persisted. Regrettably, I’ll be returning to Apple AirPods.

The sound quality was not as expected given the price range. Worse of all was the grip and stability on the ears. Easily loosen and fall off in normal walks…

On the good side of this review, the sound quality is decent and the Bluetooth range is further than any other headphone I used before and the call quality also well done, however the main selling point was the noise cancelling and for me there was a huge flaw, under most circumstances the active noise cancelling is great even in loud work enviroments however there seems to be a fatal flaw where if there's a sudden noise like compressed air, a hammer tap or even something as subtle as a car door closing it would sound like transparency mode would turn on for a second before going back to ANC mode, after dealing with this for a week it left me with too much headache (both real and circumstantial) and I had to return them for a different option.

Thank you Robbie for taking the time to share your detailed feedback on the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen). We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the sound quality, Bluetooth range, and call performance, but we’re truly sorry about the noise cancelling. The combination of both active and passive noise reduction technologies in your headphones is designed to block out most sounds but may not block out everything. You may still hear higher pitched sounds like sirens and even human voices, although the volume of these sounds should be dramatically reduced.
It’s important to note that this is expected behavior with noise cancelling headphones across the industry. The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are engineered to minimize these interruptions as much as possible, while still maintaining excellent performance in consistent, loud environments such as offices, airplanes, or busy streets.
For the best results, ensure your earbuds are running the latest firmware through the Bose Music app, as updates often improve ANC responsiveness and overall performance.

I was very disappointed with the sound quality. I had to turn the volume almost all the way up to listen to music. The immersive setting works well to block ambient noise. I have replaced these with the AirPod Pro 3. Same price point as the Bose but, far superior.

These ear bus for being so expensive was not working out the box. I get i needed to update, but even then constant disconnects or odd behavior when swapping from Windows laptop to android is a pain. They sound amazing when they do work i give it that. But honestly, i should not have been frustrated and chosen instead my 4 dollar dollar tree earbuds that i bought as an emergency one day to be able to talk and hear in a meeting. The battery life is horrible. I ended up getting new ear muffs for my 4 year old Bose quite comforts instead as this honestly was just not doable to work full time with.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We’re truly sorry to learn that your left earbud has not been working consistently. This is certainly not the experience we want you to have.
Our QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are designed to deliver premium, personalized audio through CustomTune technology, with our best in‑ear noise cancellation and a comfortable fit. A common reason why one earbud may not function properly is if it isn’t making a secure connection with the charging case. Ensuring each earbud is firmly seated on the charging pins can often resolve this.
We also recommend checking the stability band on your earbuds. If the band is not aligned correctly, the earbuds may not sit properly in the case, which can affect charging and performance.
For step‑by‑step guidance, you can follow our full troubleshooting guide here: https://bose.life/4cn2Avt
If the issue continues after trying these steps, our support team is ready to help you further: https://bose.life/contactus

The earbuds were honestly pretty uncomfortable, I tried every variation and still couldn’t wear them for more than 30 mins without my ears hurting or having to adjust, also when I would adjust the touch settings are so sensitive I would either end a call or skip a song, and I couldn’t even tell if the audio quality was good because of the connectivity issues, there was always a delay or the earbuds wouldn’t connect.

Thanks for your feedback! One of the new features of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) is the ability to disable touch controls through the Bose Music app, a great improvement over the first generation.
Bluetooth disconnections can happen due to several factors, including wireless interference, distance from the paired device, low battery levels on either device, or outdated software. Physical obstacles such as walls or metal surfaces can also weaken the signal, and in some cases, protective cases or certain devices may interfere with the connection.
