First thought is these sound great. They should, for the price. Second thought was I bought these with my old galaxy buds in mind with the removable wing that made them the only bugs I've ever been successful at getting to stay in my ear. When I first got them, they stayed, but after a week, I now constantly have to keep reinserting the one, which is difficult to do without pausing music or hanging up on whomever I'm talking to. The next issue is that when I open and close a car door or wear these while on my motorcycle, there's a constant sound that sounds like I'm spreading corrugated tubing of some sort. It makes them completely dysfunctional. Another minor annoyance is that they are not particularly easy to get out of the case. Last, I rode from Chicago to Springfield ohio, and the batteries had to be charged twice during that trip. it's a 5-hour trip, so these should have lasted the entirety of the trip on a full charge and they didn't come halfway to that. Very disappointed, Especially for the cost.

Bose-QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) in Ear Earbuds have good sound quality but don't stay in my ear like my Apple AirPods did even when using the correct rubber adaptor. Every time I tried to adjust the Earbuds I would stop whatever I was listening to due to the sensitivity of the Earbuds and the way they are designed to respond to touch. It becomes an annoyance.

I want to give these 5stars so badly. In addition to music and audio I love the noise cancellation especially at swim meets. But on calls I have noticed the sound crackles regularly. Not cutting in and out, like a crackling speaker. Not sure why it doesn’t happen when listening to music. I also don’t love that if the bud is not with the case and i take it out of my ear for a period of time, it at times will not reconnect until I put it back in the case

Sound quality is excellent. The noixe cancelling effect is great wven when using just one at a time. The comfort of the fit could be better, they're larger than average earbuds and the hard plastic makes them uncomfortable to lie on etc. My main complaint is the complete lack of a 'find-my-device' feature, which most if not all competitors have.

I was not surprised at the sound quality, Bose is known for it and did not disappoint. The ANC is amazing and the comfort is acceptable. But where I was let down is that for 250+ dollars the earbuds have only a mic in the right ear bud. I usually only have one in and if I happen to have the left bud in I have to scramble to put in the right one or switch to phone. It shocks me that a premium product has less features than my 50 dollars sound cores

Hi Anthony, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear the sound quality and noise cancellation met your expectations, as those are areas we take pride in. We understand your concern regarding microphone placement and how it impacts your usage when wearing only the left earbud.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are equipped with four microphones in each earbud, allowing you to use either the left or right earbud independently for listening to audio or making phone calls. The controls on your earbuds will remain the same whether you’re using one or both, and any shortcuts you’ve set will continue to function.
If you’re experiencing microphone issues, ensuring the earbuds are worn properly and that the microphones are not blocked can help improve call quality. Here’s a helpful guide you can use for tips on optimizing performance: https://bose.life/4b9gEIw

Hello Jayson! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that your Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) Earbuds are working well and delivering the performance you expect. We do understand your concern regarding the case not holding the earbuds securely. Your input is valuable, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
To help prevent the earbuds from coming loose, we recommend always ensuring they are seated properly in the charging case until you feel the magnetic connection. If the case is dropped, the earbuds may dislodge, so keeping the lid closed when not in use can help minimize this risk.
We appreciate your support and will make sure your feedback is shared with our product team for future improvements.

They are good.... But not for what i need them for...I work outside and it's cold. So with a facemask on at times.. The earbuds are too touch sensitive...It be changing to all the different modes that it irritates me. Without a facemask on they works perfect. I guess I'm going back to my old earpieces till it gets back warm...I don't recommend these to my co workers. But to others outside my trade. These are perfect for you... My review is only based on why I bought them and wanted them for...

We appreciate your positive comments about how well they work without a facemask, and we understand how important it is for your earbuds to function seamlessly in your work environment. Currently, the earbuds do not have the ability to disable touch controls, which is why wearing a facemask can sometimes trigger unintended actions.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) These 2nd generation earbuds from Bose give a quality appearance all around, from the buds themselves to their charging case. They came with the medium ear tips, and for me they fit just right. By twisting them into the ear so that the long tip of the bud points between the 4:00 o’clock and 5:00 o’clock position on the ear they remain firmly in place and are quite comfortable for several hours. They paired up very quickly with my laptop and my Android phone in that order. For whatever reason, and it may just be something on my equipment, once they paired with my phone I went back to my laptop to watch a video, but the earbuds didn’t follow to my laptop naturally as I expected. I tried connecting them manually to my laptop but that didn’t work, and I finally disconnected them from my phone, but the problem remained. I then removed the earbuds from being paired with my phone altogether. The earbuds still didn’t want to connect to my laptop, so I then took them out of my ears and placed them back in their case for a minute. After that they connected and worked fine with my laptop. To be fair, this isn’t the first issue I’ve had using BT earbuds in the past and moving from one device to another. Overall, my BT experience hasn’t been easy over the years so, who knows? I’ve found that the earbuds last between 5.0 to 5.5 hours on a charge using them watching videos for several hours or listening to music in the Aware Mode – that’s in the same ballpark with the Technics and the Jabra earbuds I have. Using ANC during that same time would use a more battery life. While mentioning ANC, noise cancellation is absolutely superb! If you want nothing else but your selection of sound coming to your ears, the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) is what you’ve been looking for. In addition, choosing the Spatialized Audio setting really adds more depth and detail to what you’re listening to so I would use that setting and not change it! Along with these things, the sound quality is excellent with wide ranges of different clear and sharp sounds whether in low or high tones. Obviously, I’m not an audiophile, but the quality of sound produced in these earbuds is excellent. The real problem I have with the QuietComfort Ultras (2nd Gen) is that the physical controls on the buds are so sensitive and “fiddly.” The individual taps (whether one tap, two or three for various things) isn’t too difficult but there again sensitivity sometimes messes things up if you’re not really consistent with your taps in terms of how quickly you perform them. I actually had more trouble with setting the modes (ANC, Aware and several others) by doing a longer press for each one to move through each mode with a little voice telling you what each mode is when you’ve moved to it. Sometimes it was distracting and hard to understand what mode the little voice was actually saying. In addition, to raise or lower volume you slide your finger along the long side of the earbud one way or the other, and moving it very much puts you with virtually no sound or way too much sound. To complicate matters some of your slides may be interpreted as taps or longer presses so you may end up pausing your video instead while you’re trying to raise the volume or lower it or you may end up with a mode change you're not looking for. Now, I realize that over time some of this would smooth out some, but the sensitivity of the exterior of the earbuds and not having a physical button there to work with is something that will detract from the overall ease of use of the controls for most people. And who wants to even think about having to grab your phone for help from the Bose app for some of these things. I think Bose should have worked with a physical button on the earbuds themselves to eliminate all the sensitivity of the various taps, presses and slides we’re left with now. Are these excellent earbuds? Yes, in most ways. But having a simple and easy way to control them to provide what you need at a moment’s notice is expected but their choice of a control mechanism is simply a detraction from an otherwise excellent product.
