Printer use a lot of inf to start. The alignment takes up most of the ink. Printer won't work correctly til you do alignment.

I'm disappointed. The ink cartridges run dry quickly and the printer won't let me print if ANY ONE of the cartridges is 'running low'. Even when I purchase the high volume version of the ink cartridge. The problem seems to be a combination of printer AND cartridge design. My past printers (Cannon, HP, and more recently a Lexmark I've been most pleased with) let me squeeze out the last drop of ink.

SO DISAPPOINTED!!! when the machine told me it needed new cartridges around May 2019, I had the first experience of completely corrupted personal printer output on a brother unit - colors were inverted, colors weren't registering, really ghostlike overlaps & weird spaces. Sooooooo disappointed in Brother, for the first time (Im a loyal, longstanding customer - as an undergraduate, i had a Brother electric typewriter/word processor back in 1984! it was the bomb!!!). I constantly check that i have the latest versions of Brother drivers and CUPS, etc. Not sure what the deal is with this issue, it's not resolved.

Junk ink. Two colors got burnt up just printing the test and calibration pages. The third color was just about empty. Didn’t even get to print a single thing in color after set up.

The ink was good but the printer was awful we purchased it a couple of years ago and it's broken and just emptied the ink

The Brother magenta ink cartridge in this set would not print. iInk replace it and neither did the replacement print. The black cartridge printed fine. I have not tried the cyn and yellow colors yet.

The Ink warranty covers manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase or the rated life of the consumable, whichever occurs first. XL my @$$. I already went through a whole set of colors just to clean and get the inks to print acceptably. At THIS price it would have been better to just buy another printer (maybe of another brand?). OH Brother... what are you doing?

These cartridge dry out quickly if you dont use them daily. Lucky to get 20 pages out of the max cartridges, and they are expensive.

These cartridges run out way too fast. Definitely don’t get as much out of it as they claim. Constantly have to replace them, after printing a small amount of pages.

Hate buying printer ink. Hate it hate it hate it. Over priced. Lasts for about 2 pages before it needs to be replaced.
