To me it seems the ink cartridge holds lower amount of ink ratio to the higher price mark ups from previous models of ink jet printers. the 300 page counts has not been very accurate for me as i get around 200 pages before the constant reminder low ink shows up on the printer screen.

Switched from HP to Brother printer, printer quality is better but Brother ink runs out quicker than HP. Cartridges are not available in as many retail stores compared to HP. 4 cartridges, 1 black and 3 colors are needed compared to 2 for HP. Brother cartridge is smaller/thinner with less ink. Printer ink costs are higher for Brother compared to HP but print quality is better

They do not last very long but when they are good they work well although they are a bit expensive

Brother inks just don't last too long because of all the cleaning cycles the printers do. The quality of the ink itself is good though.

These printer inks are getting hard to find not everyone carries them anymore.

When I print in black it makes me feel like I have taking over the world

It is very afordable but it finished fast and not that good for office use

Just an ink cartridge but the price is very reasonable

ink cartridge ran out of ink before you would expect it to. The last cartridge produced less than 100 copies before it was to weak to read the printing. I would NOT recommend this cartridge if you do more than a rare copy ,once in a while as you would be disappointed by its rapid failure to print clear copies

Seems to be good ink. My problem is with the printer that it goes to. There is no easy setting to use "Black Ink Only". So even set to monochrome and an other setting, the printer still eats up the color cartridges. To top it off, when any one of the four cartridges goes empty you CANNOT print until you replace the empty one. So you want to print in black but you can't because you're out of yellow. There is a new firmware update I need to try, so maybe they've corrected this. Any printer that won't let you print Black Only, is a sorry printer. Sad, for an otherwise good printer.

I've had the brother printer for over 2years and love it however the ink cartridges don't seem to last the amount of pages they say they will print but one could say that for most printers.

I don't use my printer much just to print bills however some how I am already having to buy more ink i don't know if it's the printer or poor quality ink but it's life and it is what it is

Even though I don't have problems with the pricing, I do find the ink to go quicker especially if the printer is off for a long period of time like a week or two

I use this ink regularly and often purchase from Best Buy. I find that it does get me the most ink for pages, but the cost is always what I wish retailers would pay more attention to. On average, I probably buy ink 5-6 times a year, possibly more depending on school or work related needs. So the prices tend to be costly for me and my wallet. May need to seek a wholesaler.

Good product overall. Very easy to install. runs out quick.
