This reference was part of the first sub-series in the Marine Star line to feature a fully automatic movement paired with an open-aperture skeleton dial, moving away from the collection's traditional quartz chronograph roots.
It uses a high-contrast black and gold palette. The dial is layered, featuring translucent sections and an "open heart" that reveals the beating balance wheel. Unlike the more classic Roman numerals on some Marine Stars, this uses bold baton indices for a sportier feel.
Despite its "jewelry-like" gold finish, it is a functional tool watch. It features a screw-down crown to ensure its 200m water resistance, making it much more durable than the "Surveyor" models we discussed earlier.
The gold-tone bracelet features a mix of brushed and polished finishes. It uses a sport fold-over clasp with push-button release and a safety bar.
