Wiring a crowded patch panel or switch where every millimetre counts? This Cable Leader non-booted Cat 5e Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat5e LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, drops the bulky boot so plugs sit side by side in high-density ports and air moves freely through the rack. It uses four twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper rated to 350 MHz, well above the 100 MHz the Cat 5e standard requires, with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts. Compatible with any RJ45 port on Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP gear. Carries high speed Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m and fits any Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 6a jack, Cat6 and Cat6a patch panels alike. Stocked in 1 ft to 100 ft lengths, including 3, 10, 25 and 50 ft, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: patch panels, network switches, server racks and structured cabling. Not for: cables unplugged often (no latch protection), plenum or riser runs, or outdoor use.
Four twisted pairs of 24 AWG bare copper, not copper-clad aluminum, rated to 350 MHz against the 100 MHz the Cat 5e standard requires. Carries Gigabit Ethernet to 100 m with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts on both ends.
Without a molded boot the plug body is only as wide as the RJ45 itself, so neighbouring cables seat without crowding each other on a 24- or 48-port switch or patch panel. Less plastic at the port also leaves more room for airflow through a packed rack.
Works with Cisco, Netgear, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, Linksys, ASUS, Synology and QNAP switches, routers and NAS units. Quick check: Patch panel to switch - Yes. Rack or cabinet wiring - Yes. Cables unplugged daily - No, choose a snagless cable. Plenum or riser run - No. Outdoor - No.
A non-booted plug leaves the latch exposed, which is the trade-off for a smaller footprint. That suits permanent patching inside racks and cabinets, where cables are plugged in once and left in place, rather than desks where cords are moved and pulled often.
Each cable is sample-tested during production for continuity and wire map. Manufactured to RoHS environmental standards. If your cable arrives defective or stops working in normal use, Cable Leader handles replacement requests directly, no manufacturer redirects.
