This Cable Leader slim Cat 6 Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat6 LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, uses 28 AWG stranded pairs to shrink the jacket to a 3.6 mm diameter, about 40% slimmer than a standard 6.2 mm Cat 6 cord, so more thin, flexible cables fit in the same space. Built with bare copper conductors, 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts, and snagless clear boots that protect the locking tab in dense patch fields. Compatible with any RJ45 port, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch OLED dock, Apple TV 4K, Roku Ultra, Samsung and LG smart TVs, and eero or Netgear routers. Rated to 250 MHz for Gigabit Ethernet and backward compatible with Cat 5e. Stocked in 6 inch to 50 ft lengths, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: patch panels, server racks, home labs, gaming setups and tidy desks. Not for: plenum or riser runs, outdoor or direct-burial use, or links that need 10 Gbps (choose Cat 6a).
Standard Cat6 patch cords are thick and stiff; this 28 AWG version has a 3.6 mm jacket, about 40% slimmer than a standard 6.2 mm Cat 6 cord, so it routes cleanly behind a gaming console, under a desk, or through a crowded 48-port patch panel without blocking airflow. Four UTP pairs of 28 AWG stranded bare copper, not copper-clad aluminum, rated to 250 MHz for 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet and backward compatible with Cat 5e ports, auto-negotiating down to 100 Mbps when a device cannot go faster. RJ45 plugs use 50-micron gold-plated contacts that resist corrosion through repeated plugging.

Transparent snagless boots cover the RJ45 latch so it does not catch or break when you pull one cable out of a crowded bundle. 50-micron gold-plated contacts are built for repeated plug and unplug cycles in patch panels, lab benches, and behind entertainment centers.
