Running a cable under a rug, along a baseboard or through a door gap? This Cable Leader flat Cat 6 Ethernet patch cable, also sold as a Cat6 LAN cable, internet cable or RJ45 network cord, lays its four pairs of 32 AWG bare copper side by side in a 1.6 x 6.0 mm black PVC jacket that lies flat where a round cord would bulge. Rated to the 250 MHz Cat 6 standard, with 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts and snagless molded boots. Compatible with any RJ45 port, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch OLED dock, Apple TV 4K, Roku Ultra, Samsung and LG smart TVs, and eero or Netgear routers. Carries high speed Gigabit Ethernet and works in Cat 5e and Cat6a ports. Stocked in 2 ft to 45 ft lengths, from short patch cables to long Ethernet cables between rooms. Best for: under-rug and along-wall runs, living rooms, dorms and home offices. Not for: in-wall or plenum installation, outdoor use, or 10 Gbps links.

The most common way a patch cable dies is the plastic release tab snapping off, after which the plug will not stay seated. Molded snagless boots cover that tab so it does not catch on furniture or a baseboard edge while you pull the cable out.
