Absolute awesome lens. Matter of fact it is the lens that has been on the longest on my main SLR and even when I took it off to go to a birthday party this past weekend and brought a smaller lens, as soon as I got home I put the 135mm right back on. Yeah, you will love this lens, I promise you.

I shoot mainly primes, and this has been on my list. Crazy sharp, and not nearly as heavy as it looks. Definitely built well, but be aware that it isn't weather sealed. Don't just slap a UV filter on it and think you're safe to play in the rain like your 50mm L. Treat it right, and it will treat you the same. Sharp across the aperture range, with creamy bokeh wide open, and TACK sharp at 7.1. A great purchase. Other than my light meter, and Apollo modifiers; it's the best photography decision I've made this year so far.

Don't have to say much about this magnificent lens. Regardless of the light whether its day or night it never seize to amaze me with its results. I usually use to do portraits of my family and we all love it.

One of Canon's best lenses for portrait work. 135mm can be too long for some, but this lens is great in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. Definitely not the lens I'd recommend for a beginner! on a crop body this lens is effectively a 216mm f/2 lens and that rocks. I use it on 5dmkII's and love the results on full frame. It's also a great alternative/backup to the 70-200mm 2.8 IS but the 135 is MUCH smaller and lighter. Enjoy!

I have alot of Canon lenses but this is by far my favorite lens. Your pictures will look beautiful, the only thing with this lens is you can only fit so many people in the frame unless you stand far away. This lens is always on my camera. It's like if I had 12 children and had to pick one...THIS IS IT!!!

Excellent lense to use for portrait photography. It has a really nice background blur, when used to use open. It’s great for indoor sports, weddings and portraits.

I am absolutely in love with this lens. If you are a portrait photographer, this is a must have. It's bokeh is creamy and gorgeous. It is tack sharp! You just can't beat prime lenses and this one is my favorite! It is very heavy though and since it doesn't have IS, a tripod is a must. If you have to spot handheld, you need super fast SS. I'm so pleased with it. And with best buy's quick delivery!

So glad I finally purchased this lens, I have been wanting it for too long and it's one of the best investments for my business. I can't wait to use it more outside once the weather breaks! This is a fantastic lens for portraits or whenever you need a little zoom on your subject. The f/2 low light capability makes it a very versatile lens in all lighting conditions. It's also one of the least expensive lenses in the L series. Super sharp and great colors. I would definitely recommend having this lens in your kit.

I am a professional photographer, and this is my all time favorite lens. It’s perfect for portraits, the lens is so crisp. It’s great outside. This is my 6th lens, and by far my favorite!

This lens produces a crisp subject and a dreamy background. You do have to be further back than the traditional portrait lenses so this was a bit of a learning curve for me. Fast two day shipping through Best Buy was a plus.

All i can say is the photos captured with this are unobtainable!

Amazing lens!! I've heard it was awesome, but wow!! Doesn't feel like a super long lens, but has great focusing ability far away. Also is amazing for portraits!
