After lots of shopping around, reading reviews, etc. I settled on this printer as having the best balance of size, features, and toner costs. Since getting it two months ago, I’ve scanned several items, and printed maybe 2 dozen pages. As such a low volume user, this Canon replaced a functional HP all-in-one inkjet that was wasting (expensive) ink cartridges because they kept drying out. PROs: - Print quality - higher scan resolution than many in its class - easy printing from an ipad. My wife can send a recipe from her ipad and will print double-sided if requested. CONs: - Weak WIFI setup documentation. I found other owners complaints about the setup instructions to be valid. The doc is poorly organized, vague in places, incomplete in others. Fortunately, a web search will find reviews and other articles with tips. - You have to leave the paper door open to print. Nowhere in ANY of the reviews I read (nor in the documentation) was this ever mentioned. Every home printer I’ve owned over the last 30 years has had the usual paper tray that you pull open, load, and close- but not this one. For a very low volume home user, this is an unexpected annoyance, to have to load paper every time I want to print. I don’t want to leave the printer sitting there all the time with the door open,, letting dust, pet hair, etc., into the internals.

For the price, it prints quickly and scans high-quality images. The only problem is that the print color is not so bold, but unless you pay attention to the very last details, no one is going to notice it (with this price, you should not expect much). It is a bit frustrating to figure all the things out at first and get it working, but anyone could do it after some time.

Extremely great buy. We were so tired of ink jet problems and cartridge expense. I remembered our business used Laser printers. We rarely had any problems, printed way more pages, faster and cleaner than with our ink jets as well. And of course, ink cartridges are pricey. This Canon was the very best (price and features including new toner cartridge's) in the selection of all Laser multi purpose black and white laser printers we researched. It was a long search. Took a few days of comparison shopping, but turns out this one was as advertised. Set up in about 20 minutes, that's un-boxing to running to the first test print. We set it up with a cable, (not supplied) but it does have the Wi-Fi option. It has a really compact footprint, see photos. Been printing a few weeks now, no problems, no adjustments or changes were necessary, software out of the box and set up from instructions pretty straight forward. Great Value, especially if you don't need color for everything you print. Plus we got it delivered in one day. Crazy. Scanned and saved effortlessly, and scanned our Id's and shot certificates perfectly. Super quiet too!!

Purchased this because my 10 year old printer kept jamming. This small footprint Canon printer/scanner was a great value for the money. It was easy to setup on my network, laptop and android devices. It prints fast with great quality. I set it up wireless with very little effort. This is a great product and recommend it.

Canon Image D570 is a great machine. HOWEVER, be prepared to contact tech support, especially if you are trying to connect a MAC to this printer, scanner and copier. The Tech Support woman was great and we eventually got the Cannon D570 to "talk" to my Mac.

I have been using this for almost a month and it's working great. Its a compact monochrome printer with scanner and copier and connects through wifi or usb cable. This has made my life easier for dealing with my kids assignments. Based on my experience, i recommend this if you need a monochrome printer at home.

Our old Canon printer had several minor mechanical problems, and then it suddenly failed to scan. We gave up trying to restore functionality. After much consumer research, we ordered the Canon imageCLASS D570, a monochrome laser printer that would meet our printing needs at a very reasonable price. The printer arrived the next day, and we installed it easily. Initially, we wondered why it, too, failed to scan. A quick call to Canon solved the problem. The Microsoft scanner driver, included with Windows 10, failed to work, and it was an easy procedure to download and install Canon's driver. The printer now performs flawlessly, scans and prints rapidly. We also are happy with the lack of a paper feed on top, making the machine a bit less bulky than the old printer. In the 10+ years we had used the old printer, we had never once used the paper feed. We also are pleased with Canon's MF Scan Utility, a vast improvement over their old software.

Quick and easy to set up. It is actually light weight compared to others of its size. I have printed off a few hundred pages and still have 90% left on my cartridge. I will never go back to ink! If you’re shopping and still debating, get it. Canon is the best on the market. Also, I love being able to look and tell the energy saver is on easily with the green light!

The instruction was simple and understandable. It was easy to set up. After the set up, it worked perfectly. The bundle pricing with ink cartridge gave me $25 savings. The wireless printing work flawlessly. However printing from smart phone was not in the guide. I had to think outside the box to make it work.

Great price on a versatile laser printer. Even without the manual, the control panel is intuitive and easy to use. Perfect for a home office -- prints, copies, scans. Compact footprint.

This is a good reliable printer, but it requires very fine customisation. It takes a lot of time to customise the paper settings. There is no automatic paper size selection and there are problems in case of printing from the phone!

Simple to use and economical! More bang for my buck. If you are looking for a simple grayscale printer, this is pretty good!

I have purchased 3 of these for my office and we absolutely love them. They are great for the price and they print on both sides flipping on their own.
