bought this printer in 2022 to replace prior Canon TR4520 (Network/USB connectivity stopped working after almost exactly 2 yrs). Seems this is the last model canon printer to use Canon 246 cartridges (of which I have a few). The next model (47xx) uses different cartridges (I know, because I bought my daughter that printer and it uses different ones). Seems to work fine although seems to also have some limitations on connectivity. Works fine on 2.4ghz band network, but won't find higher bands. Happy with the printer quality, scanning/copying (multisheet feed), printing (automatic doublesiding).

Bought this to replace an old MX922 that broke. The functionality is similar. But the top load ADF functions are handled by an installed app. Takes a bit of time to configure to my needs.

You get what you pay for. [I'm not a heavy-duty printer user. Mostly just occasional b&w docs, recipes, emails, etc; sometimes a color photo. Have pretty basic tech needs; don't even need to connect this printer's fax or wifi functions. Chose this one for its size and I didn't want to pay for advanced features I wouldn't use.] POSITIVE: sharp, dark b&w prints; fast enough for me; cartridge and paper pretty easy to load; incidental color features on docs have come out clear and true-color. NEGATIVE: instructions for set-up are unclear at best; getting to and using the online manual is way too involved; unit came with the wrong connector cord (not the one listed and not one that worked) ; and -- BIG minus for me -- the front cover does not close if there's paper in the sole tray. Canon's and Best Buy's illustrations only show the unit closed and do not reveal that it does not close once loaded. To close, you have to unload after each use. If you don't want to have to get up and load before each subsequent use, so leave the tray extended, it takes up more desktop space than pictured and the internal mechanisms are open to dust. DUNNO: quality of color photos; how long the toner cartridges last; how to perform basic maintenance functions (will have to try to access and navigate the online manual again or wrestle with the keypad menus). CONCLUSIONS: (1) Meh. I guess it works for me. (2) I will never buy computer equipment online again. [When will my local BB store have some inventory?! Lots of demo printers to look at, none in stock.] (3) Next time I will pay more for a printer that closes, has at least two trays, and offers clearer printed instructions, online manual, and printer keypad controls.
The best printer I ever purchased, I have had over three printers never lasted more than 2 years. But once I got this one never a issue, color last long, and it’s so simple to use.

This little keeper is one year old and at least 1000 prints. Including graphs charts and detailed Algebra spreedsheets with great detailed work.

Easy to set up and operate. Quite fast printing & coping. Size great for smaller office spaces.

Refuses to connect to any wifi network i tried. Setup was not easy and the two line lcd display is hard to see. I bought this to use with a tablet but it will only work as direct connect or usb. That makes it useless for my purposes if it had bluetooth that might have been a redeeming feature. I thought it was ironic that this had a pots fax but the more expensive color laser mfp from canon did not. I’m taking this back to the store. I don’t even recommend it for a throw down.

Good print quality, easy to set up, but the number of pages per ink cartridge seems way too low to me compared to my previous HP printer. Haven’t used used the fax or scanner features yet. Overall happy with my purchase of this printer.

It doesn’t take up much space and it was so easy to connect too. I use it almost daily and it’s never let me down.

I love my printer. I bought one that was easy to usr for a senior citizen. The sales person helped me a lot.
I am no longer interested in purchasing canon products and it wasn't the best printer I had. Yet, it's a printer lol. I think the scanner is pretty good as well.

Have bought other cannon printers and they stopped working. The only thing is I wish the ink lasted longer.

Perfect size for my computer desk and very easy to use. I like that there are two types of Canon ink cartridges that can be used. Would recommend to friends and family.

Recently, needed to replace my printer. Without wanting to spend a high price, I still required a combination printer and fax product. A previous brand I used was no longer available in my price range and found the Canon PIXMA TR4522 wireless all-in-one inkjet printer met my requirements. Of course, it took getting use to a new product. But once I got the hang of it, I am completely satisfied.
