The RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens is capable of capturing sharp and detailed images from various distances. Especially noteworthy is the lens’s close-up capabilities at the 400mm zoom setting — at its minimum focus distance, at 400mm, you can fill the frame with a subject about the size of a credit card providing outstanding versatility and strikingly sharp images.

With a tactile, easily distinguished surface and a clicking mechanism that provides tangible feedback for confident use while looking through the viewfinder, the control ring adds outstanding connection to any shooting scenario. For photographers and movie makers who would prefer a silent control ring, the clicking mechanism can be removed at a Canon Factory Service Center location for a fee.
To help get you even closer to the subject, attach the compatible optional Canon RF extenders to the RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM and get the equivalent of 560mm focal length coverage with the Extender RF1.4x, or 800mm using the Extender RF2x.
