Rogue Corps doesn't hold a candle to classic 2d side scrolling contra games so don't expect that. Overall at a sale price like I got it its not a hoeeible play through for the right price. Hopefully konami makes a proper Contra soon.

I wish it had the pizazz that the original games had, sadly this one is a let down. Get it only if it’s as cheap as Best Buy sells it (under $15)

It has explosions, which is about the best I can say about it, this game is a grind fest, you need to replay levels to grind for weapons, power them up, then they overheat, even though one of the producers is a Contra vet, I had flashbacks to the awful Contra Legacy of War on PS1/SS. I enjoyed C: The Contra Adventure at least that had some redeeming qualities to it. But this game, no. If I wasn't a diehard fan and this wasn't $15, this wouldn't be in my collection, period. Not recommended at all.

Fun and entertaining with with nonstop action and shooting throughout the game

The real downside to this game is the fact that you have to grind so much to do anything. Its really going to require you to repeat levels a dozen times to level up before you can advance. Just gets ridiculous.

I was excited to hear that Contra would be receiving a followup after getting a nice digital all-in-one collection of some of the older games. But rather than a hectic side-scrolling affair, what we get instead is a generic third-person action game that is so cookie cutter you can barely call it Contra. They did some cool things with it: four-player support, an interesting customization system, a playable panda, etc. But for the most part, it's a big let down with its generic paint by the numbers missions. I'm not mad I bought it because it's a budget game and I love Contra, but man what a missed opportunity.

Got this for the kid for Christmas. It hits you with some adult language right off the bat but the gameplay didn’t keep his interest beyond half an hour.

I played the original Contra games on home consoles, many many moons ago. Definitely worth the price. Fun game too.

Just OK, I wouldn't pay more than $10. Doesn't live up to the CONTRA we all know and loved

Decent game but nothing compares to the original. I would still recommend it though because it's fun.

Pretty fun action packed game. Definitely a little different and the characters are great and fun to play.

Being a fan of the original Nintendo version I purchased this. It’s a decent game at a affordable price.

This game fails to recapture the magic of the NES game, but let's face it, ALL OF the Contrast have, unfortunately.

Very average game not as playable as the original I remembered as a kid. A lot of unnecessary swearing!

it did not capture the concept to be based upon and the game play is not truly entertaining

Never find anyone to play with in the queue and the base game is bland.

Im not a fan of bird eye view games. Some levels change it up but not many. Not like old school Contra. If they remake this again i hope its first person multi player cross platform game similar to doom style. Not bad game for price paid but has gotten cheaper since.

Bought this game as I really enjoyed the Contra game series and this one didn't disappoint. It's best enjoy with 2 players and the level of difficulty has its peaking points throughout the game. Overall it's fun with a fluent story line.

Its a fun game with rehashed stages and bosses. The upgrade system needs work. It has couch co-OP but you must play single player to level 2 to unlock it.
