CORSAIR - HS35 v3 Wired Over-the-Ear Gaming Headset for PC,Xbox One,Xbox Series X|S,PS5,PS4, Nintendo Switch and Mobile - White

I needed a wired headset for a gaming event, nothing special but it had to be wired with a 3.5mm jack and required no additional software to work. I saw that Corsair had the new HS35 v3 Wired Gaming Headset available, which fit my need perfectly and being Corsair, I knew it would be a good choice. Pros: - Simple 3.5mm combo connection is compatible with many platforms and devices. - Weighs only 250 grams. - Speakers and Microphone are clear and crisp. Cons: - Microphone is not detachable. - Microphone is very sensitive, picking up background sounds and music. Out of the Box: Corsair makes it simple, including just the Corsair HS35 v3 headset in the box and nothing else. The wired 3.5mm combo cable has an attached rubberized cable tie, which is helpful in keeping the cable stored away neatly. Since the headset can connect via the 3.5mm jack, it is compatible across many platforms and devices. At only 8.75 Oz (250g) the headset is lightweight and comfortable for longer gaming sessions. Build & Feel: I noticed right away that the microphone boom does not detach, which is a downside as if the microphone breaks, then the whole headset would need to be replaced. Additionally, the microphone doesn’t include a pop-filter, which could result in harsher sounds and potential damage to the microphone. I can understand the design choice to reduce cost, but in both cases, it can result in having to replace the headset sooner. Most of the headset’s frame is made of a black plastic that is flexible on the headband and solid on the earcups. I usually do not like the feel or finish on the plastic parts of devices, but Corsair made a good choice in the texture they applied to the plastic, it provides a matte finish with a subtle texture. This results in the plastic not feeling cheap or brittle, the opposite in fact as the plastic is flexible and solid. I was pleasantly surprised that the ear cushions were removeable for easier cleaning or replacement. The ear cushions are made of a mesh fabric cover with a higher density foam inside, which provide a soft comfortable fit while also allowing for airflow to prevent sweating. Additionally, the adjustable stretch headband provides a comfortable way to adjust the fit and placement of the headset. It is very easy to adjust, just pull off from the side of the headset and adjust to the next slot and push back on. Both sides have 3 slots for adjustments. When properly fit, the headset doesn’t move or slide around even when lightly shaking your head. The headset stays in place while not applying too much pressure to the head, it is very comfortable. Corsair include a push-to-mute button and volume scroll wheel conveniently on the bottom of the left earcup, near the wire to connection. I found both were in a natural place for my hand to find them, even in the middle of a tough game. Audio: The audio quality was surprisingly well-balanced, though flatter than I prefer but was clear and crisp across a full range. There were no distortions or breaks in the sound. I was mainly using the headset for playing multiplayer shooter games, primarily hearing in-game sounds like gunfire and footsteps or communicating with teammates via voice chat. The Corsair HS35 v3 performed perfectly in doing so. Even for listening to music, I was surprised how well it sounded without any EQ adjustments, it was full and clear. Microphone: The microphone was clearly a main focus for Corsair with the HS35 v3, voice was super clean and clear. Even whispers were registered with clarity. Which is why I wish a slide on pop-filter was included, as not only were the harsher sounds of P/B/T/K picked up on full blast but sounds from the speakers could be heard in the background. This wasn’t a huge issue for me, as I was only listening to music between games, but if you liked listening to music during a game, your teammates will likely be able to hear it too. Conclusion: If you need a simple gaming headset for playing games with your friends, then the Corsair HS35 v3 is a solid choice at an affordable price. The HS35 v3 is lightweight and super comfortable. With a 3.5mm jack that allows compatibility across most gaming systems and devices. The speakers and microphone are crisp and clear, with zero distortions. In fact, the microphone might pick up just a little too much, but never enough to overpower your voice. Overall, I was very impressed, and will be handing on to the Corsair HS35 v3 for future events!

I’ve had this set of gaming headphones for a couple of days now and it’s hard to knock these. They are lightweight, really comfortable and sound good for what they are. The padding on the earcups are very comfortable and never really fatigue my ears. The headband is also quite comfortable and doesn’t press down on my head or put too much pressure on my ears and temples I have a fairly large head and these fit great. The headband is adjustable so they should fit most people. The microphone is loud and clear and its position isn’t distracting or cumbersome. You can also bend the microphone boom and put it closer to your mouth if you feel like you need to. This headset is wired and will work with any pc, console or handheld gaming device with a 3.5mm aux port. Sound quality is decent, not the best I’ve heard but certainly not bad at all. They get just loud enough to be immersive. You can easily adjust the volume with the rocker on the left ear cup. I would say the headphones sound quite balanced. The bass response is a little “digital sounding”. Not sure how else to describe it, but they thud well in shooting and action games. Mids are clear and trebles are crispy. It’s hard to complain about anything with these headphones. They don’t amaze me but they sound good enough to recommend to most people and at the end of the day all you really need is a pair of good quality headphones with a clear and loud microphone and this headset checks off all the good things to look for. If you want wired headphones, these are hard to beat.

This headset has genuinely impressed me. The overall sound quality is excellent and the ambient sounds come through with impressive clarity. The bass is powerful and adds depth to the audio without overpowering the rest of the sound or becoming overwhelming. It strikes a great balance, creating an immersive gaming experience whether you're playing something heavy on action sequences or something more quiet and atmospheric. Comfort is where this headset really stands out for me personally. As someone with sensory sensitivities, I tend to dislike wearing headsets for long periods of time, but I genuinely forgot I had this headset on. It’s very lightweight, the earcups are well padded and breathable, and the floating headband design helps distribute weight evenly across the top of your head so the overall fit is snug without applying excessive pressure anywhere. I would happily recommend this headset to anyone looking for one that doesn't sacrifice comfort or sound quality for the sake of price.

Overall this is a comfortable headset to wear but definitely is in the budget friendly option. It does not weigh a lot which oftentimes for me in comparison to the other gaming headsets that I own relays to lower quality or more inexpensive parts. Sound quality is good, highs or crisps and they're actually is a little bit of Base to it but it is not as loud as most of my other wireless headsets. I have tinkered with the settings in my Xbox dashboard and when having it plugged into my controller it just isn't as loud as I would like it to be in most cases. I can hear footsteps and all the sound effects are good for the games I have played but there are times I wish it was a little bit louder. Pros - Lightweight - Adjustable head strap - Adjustable mic that can be muted Cons - Not as loud as I like for my gaming headsets to be - Lighter or cheap feeling compare to other gaming headsets Overall as far as gaming headsets go this is a good budget-friendly option from a name brand company. It definitely isn't as high quality as some of the other ones from Corsair or Logitech but but has good clear audio quality and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

I found the Corsair over the ear headset very comfortable to wear. Especially when worn for a few hours of game play or serious TEAMS meetings. The omni-directional microphone picked up my voice without the distraction of the noises around me very clearly. The features I like are the soft fabric and foam ear muffs. The easy to position left side omni-directional microphone. A standard 3.5mm stereo mic jack (plug). A headband that holds securely to my head but not so hard as to crush my ears or noggin. There is an adjustable inner cloth strap for better fit depending on your head size and ear position. Corsair also designed the headset with a swivel joint for smooth operation using what I guess to be a yellow Teflon washer. It is also very lightweight as there is really no battery or electronics to weigh it down. The sound quality from the stereo speakers are clear, deep bass when you want and lifelike. So to for the output of the microphone. Both muffs have the Corsair SHIP logo embbossed in each muffs hard shell. The headband also touts the CORSAIR name. It even looks good when I wear them.
