Used the device for the humidifier, seemed to work well and do the job. Definitely better than buying bottles of water.

I’ve used another product without a filter and I regularly cleaned a fine white dust from everything. So far there has been no white dust on everything from the humidifier and I attribute that to the filter

Quiet and attractive. I also bought the filter because I didn't want the dust that can get all over everything from previous humidifiers I have owned. You must clean it every couple of days, too.

We bought two for our kids humidifiers and it's a must with hard water. We don't have the scale build up and it doesn't affect the amount going into the air.

These Crane humidifier filters work just as expected, and are simple to install. As far as I can tell, they are effective and function as advertised. However, make sure to follow the instructions about soaking the filter before first use, shaking it out, etc. Those steps are important in allowing the humidifier to accept the filter.

its always great to have a filter, but know that it is not needed.

I ran my humidifier without this filter and it still worked great, BUT... since i installed this inside the difference is very noticable. ever better results!

It is difficult for me to rate this product. I'm confident it's remarkable (4-5 stars) when used with the appropriate humidifiers. However, the one star mark is more geared towards bestbuy.com for recommending this product as an accessory for the Crane Digital Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier, since the screw cap for it is too big to fit that particular model. Disappointed that bestbuy.com recommended this product for the humidifier i bought at the same time.

After using this for the entire winter I didn’t really see that it did anything. While the humidifier did a good job the filter didn’t help reduce the layer of white dust over everything.
