My old hard drive was 5400RPM which was very slow takes 10-12 minutes for booting up plus an additional 5 minutes to get the desktop ready which was frustrating. When I started looking for a SSD, got to know that Crucial is one of the best and I am very lucky that it is available in favorite store Best Buy. I preferred MX series as it is much faster than BX. Being a hardware engineer myself, I was able to replace the hard drive in the laptop pretty quick. Of course I took a backup of the old hard drive and also prepared an OS image in a pen drive for my Dell. After I installed the new Crucial drive, installed the OS and also restored my backup. Now look at my Laptop it boots up less than a minute and ready to process things right away. I experienced the application installations were super fast, I definitely recommend this drive to anyone who wants to speed up their old laptops.

Model: Apple iMac 21.5” (Late 2013) I purchased this SSD to upgrade a client’s iMac that the hard drive died and also upgraded to 16GB of memory. The performance and speed difference is night and day to say the least and the client uses the entire Adobe Creative Suite and applications without delays or slowness. I’ve used multiple Crucial solid state drives and have never had failures or fan into issues. Very solid performance and price. I definitely recommend you to buy and can guarantee compatibility with Apple computers.

This is a great price for a great SSD. I'm using this one to upgrade my old PS4 to give it some life again. Not recommended for servers.

This is a great SSD (Hard drive). Great performance with a lot of storage space, It does not take a lot of space and is not bulky or heavy as your usual Hard drive. I love it.

This hard drive has changed my life. For years now, I've been upgrading my computer a little at a time - new processor and motherboard, additional ram, new video card, etc. But it always seemed to run slower than I expected. Not so anymore. Since installing this SSD, my machine is finally as responsive as I've always wanted. The installation was simple - the software for cloning my old drive was a piece of cake - and it got recognized almost immediately. I've run speed tests on it compared with my old drive (see my C drive - the new one - compared with my D drive). The difference is so huge I laughed out loud. I really couldn't be happier.

I know nvme m.2s are rhe new thing and on benchmarks will always win. That being said i used this drive as a boot drive for a system i built for a friend and i literally cannot tell the difference in boot/load times beyween this ssd and my 7200mhz nvme. Save your noney. Get this

The SSD drive is very good for gaming. Since I installed it in my PC I have noticed an improvement in my frame rate. I had another brand SSD drive in my PC and it definitely wasn’t giving me the performance in my PC games that I now receive. You better get yours while they last.

Hard drive on my ps4 went out after an update, so had to replace with a new one and decided to go with a ssd. Runs smoother and a few seconds faster and quieter. Just make sure you have a usb flash drive to download update from playstation website to install in safe mode in order for it to work.

This is my second Crucial MX500 SATA SSD. I bought my first one in 2019 and I've been using it in my daily laptop since then without any issues. I bought this one for my new laptop that came with 250GB storage. This SSD comes with the data migration instructions and software that you can download to migrate your data from an old hard disc. This process is super easy. Overall, I am super satisfied with its performance and the price I paid. Micron is a trusted manufacturer of Crucial line and I highly recommend this brand to my family and firends.

Works great for my needs in my unRAID file storage server as a cache drive. I am very happy with my purchase. This drive has received many 5 stars by many tech gurus on YouTube. I highly recommend this drive for its integrity. I write many gigs to it daily and I've not had any issues.

This hard drive make a huge difference… the performance on my Imac 21.5” it’s amazing now ,honestly not super easy to install cause it requieres time and a lot of patience but it’s definitely worth the struggle.
