I followed the manual's instructions and charged it for the indicated time before using it. As soon as I started using it, it began making the error sound (continuous beep), and I only had a PC, a PS5, and a monitor connected. I had to return it to the store—a disappointment.

WARNING!! DO NOT BUY!!! This is the 3rd UPS I ever bought. The first 2 were APC and I never had a problem with them at all. For years the APCs performed flawlessly. That's why I LOVE APC!! This time I figured I would try a cheaper brand since it's just to power little modem and router in next room. Wow, what huge a mistake! This thing runs out of power within 3 minutes now, and it's not even 1 year old. When I first got it, it would stay on for about an hour or more with just the modem and router. Good thing I got the extra coverage, I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting an APC with the in store credit.

Maybe I just got a bad one, but this thing was dead on arrival. Although the battery needs to be charged 8+ hours before use, I was told by a Best Buy employer that somehow it needed to be charge while still on. Doesn’t quite make sense to me given that it was straight out of the box with no juice. After finally getting it to charge, the best it could do was charge my phone a little bit before going dying on me twice. For whatever reason, Best Buy has no record of purchase. How convenient.

My job over the last 30 has been to support the UPS systems for a billion dollar company. I know my way around UPS units of all sizes and makers. For my home network, I wanted to try Cyberpower as their reviews seemed ok. Well, reviews are wrong. This unit appears to work ok, but any power flicker causes it to shutdown all the outlets and then beep continuously. While my APC units beep once then reset, this unit keeps crying until I manually reset it. That is totally useless and frustrating during a power outage. I tested the battery and it is fine. My load is way under 40% of total load capacity. There is only one indicator light and one button, so I have no idea what's going on with the unit. I'm replacing it with an APC today. CyberPower, please don't comment that I should call tech support. You know your product is junk so don't try to make it look like I don't know how to operate it. Just accept this as an honest review and make a better product.

Hello George, Sounds like the internal battery in the unit faulty. The SX650U uses a lead acid battery which is the same as what you see for most car batteries. A battery can display good voltage while the capacity is bad.

These are great to have, so you do not have to reset everything when the power goes off. However, when lightning strikes close by, these are destroyed, and so is everything plugged into them. Guess what, nothing is covered, including the Battery-back up/surge protector. I now have a whole house surge protector installed by FPL—a waste of money for these.

Honestly i wanted to return this but it's so far to be told i can't! Im not sure if it's defective or what but it's supposed to have a battery back up and it does but it's also supposed to be surge protected but it still shuts everything off when the powers out and ive had to repair my harddrive a couple times because it lags

I have one TV plugged into the power side and the alarm still goes off I don’t know what that is all about I tried turning the alarm off but it just keeps coming on if I plug something else into it it’ll come on not very good ratings from what iPhone

This review is not about the product, have used in the past and work very well. My issue is I received a text telling me product was delivered, since I am at home I walked out and no product to be found. I looked at my security cameras and no delivery person. Trying to contact BB through app, web site or phone is next to impossible. I hope they see my review and reach out to me.

Battery time do not last long. Only one size works and makes this loud beeping sound for no reason. I wish I could return it but due to the hurricane we had in Louisiana I am out of my return period.

SInce BestBuy changed shipping companies from FedEx to a grocery delivery company named ShipT, BB has failed to follow up with delivery failures by this company. I have lost all faith in BestBuy and will likely recommend that no other Commonwealth of Virginia agencies pursue any further commerce with this company.

The product itself has been without issue until this past month - it no longer works. This is about Best Buy customer service. It has a 3 year mfg. warranty with 6 months left - I was told by IM contact with Best Buy to return it to the store. I also called Best Buy and went through the ridiculous phone maze and finally got to someone who then transferred me to a Geek Squad tech who also told me to return it to the store. When I did return it to the store, they tell me there's nothing they can do - but he did verify it was still under warranty. as much as I dislike Wal-Mart, when my gift card runs out I'm done with Best Buy.

Bought this for battery backup in case of power outage. Only have wifi router, cordless phone, and lamp plugged in to it. First power outage - no juice whatsoever, and constant beeping indicating that battery was low - even though it has been plugged into a live outlet since date of purchase. CyberPower Company was non-responsive to my inquiry while not even 1/2 way through warranty period. I do NOT recommend this item.

Used this to keep power to my cable modem box, and router signal booster. It went out in about two weeks. The unit powered off, and there had been no power failure. An alarm was sounding and it wouldn't reset or restart, and the alarm kept going. Tried everything. Unplugged and returned to the store. I noticed that the insides were rattling around when I boxed it up. It had not been dropped. Junk UPS. Do not buy this. $50 wasted, but Best Buy refunded it. It was pas the 30 day refund date but I had been on vacation for two weeks during this time.

Power to the surge protector side. No power to battery backup side. Tried calling customer service three times. Sat on hold for 20 minutes and left a voice mail. No response to voice mail. Stuck with a product that does not fulfill its primary purpose of providing power during a power outage to my 88 year old mother in laws power recliner.

I have lost power a couple times since I've had this back up and each time it worked like a charm. I lost power briefly today and the battery backup did not kick on. It continued to screech with a high pitched tone till I reset it. I have only had for 10 months and this is unacceptable. Will not use this brand again. I had much better luck with the competitor brand.

Item does not work for what I bought it for. Our electric went out and the modem on my computer shut down. I work from home and need the system to stay up. At least long enough for me to save work and close out correctly.
