I;m very happy I purchased this product... I'm a private investigator and sometimes my clients want footage of the subject driving. I just places this device on my dashboard and my handy cam and it works great. No shaky video while moving automobile surveillance...

Bought this mount to use with a Tomtom XXL. I then learned the XXL is no longer supported. Upgraded to the Go Supreme. I was concerned that the size and weight of the Supreme would be a problem. This mount handles the Supreme without issue. So far it stays in place, even on a truck dash with a slight slant.

I had purchased and used a more generic round beanbag type dash mount for use with my first gps but found that it didn't work well with my 2nd because the suction cup and arm were too short to reach past the stuffing surrounding the disc. I made do with it anyway until I bought my 3rd gps and found this new style dash mount. The good points: it works well with the shorter mounting arms of the newer gps units. The neutral points: it has a much larger footprint than older style dash mounts and will take up much more space on your dash. The bad points: it seems to be more subject to sliding around a bit. I don't know if this is because all the weight is to one end or if the bottom surface is simply less sticky. My dash has a very slight curve to it which likely doesn't help. Perhaps a dash with a larger flat area would work better. I would definitely pass on this if you have a dash with very little flat area. As for this next question, would I recommend this to a friend, I am going to select yes because I do believe in dash mounts over windshield mounts but only because there is no "maybe" choice. I would be very careful to stress the need for a large enough flat area of dash for it to work properly. And perhaps the use of one of those sticky pads under it would help hold it more firmly in place.

My dash does not allow any space to permanently place my gps, however, the weighted dashboard mount solved the problem. It has stayed where I placed it (no adhesive or screws) and only has fallen off 2 times. I wish it had a bit more weight, but I give it 2 thumbs up!

this works just fine, and stays in place when I drive. Just the configuration of my car doesn't really work well with the Tom Tom...I usually end up putting/bracing it against something else. Still, it does what I bought it for.

Purchased this about a month ago. Was afraid it might not stay in place but hasn't moved an inch. Nothing that has to be permanently attached to the car. Easily moved for best location. Very satisfied, and for half the price of other items I tried.

We recently purchased a 2016 Honda CRV-middle model-so no built in GPS. However, my husband loves and needs his Tom Tom. This fits neatly in place, holds GPS securely, and doesn't block the view of the screen. Stays in place, too. It is not recommended to use those window suction holders as they impede your driving view and you can get a citation if stopped. So, this neat GPS holder is perfect and just the right size! Highly recommend it for function and safety! Glad Best Buy had it and price matched another store!

This is the only thing I could find that would keep my new 7 inch Garmin on my dashboard. The 7 incher is much heavier than my old 5 inch Garmin. Stays in place except during the most radical turns.

This thing is big and heavy. It might be too big for some dashboards. It doesn't move at all which is good.

Dashboard mount was perfect addition. Use our Tom Tom with use of rental cars and it fits all models without a problem. It holds the unit perfectly.

I bought this to mount my GPS on and it does a great job. I put it on my dash and put the UPS mount on it and it never moves.

I use this for the window mount on my backup camera I installed. I could find nothing that would stick to my dash, so I purchased this to place on the carpeted area in front of my center console of my truck and it is great. No matter how sharp or quick I turn it does not move at all. I also love the fact that it is not adhesive so I can move it at any time.

Go anywhere mount that is what I call this. It easily holds my oversize GPS with no issues.

This is the perfect solution for replacing windshield mounts that keep falling off or getting in the way of vision, and mounting your GPS on the dashboard of a car that has some curvature to the dashboard. It stays where you place it and doesn't slide, plus it offers an excellent surface to accept the suction mount that would otherwise be placed on the windshield. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Pad works great, very stable, holds gps solid. didn't slip or move at all

works well, does not slip, and it does not take up a lot of room

This product works as advertised. It means that you do not have to keeep unattaching your suction cup which often fails in time. The only problem is that the pad sides occasionally. A small piece of Velcro applied to the bottom takes care of this problem.

I had trouble with my GPS' window mount losing suction. After researching options, I chose this product at BestBuy because people indicated that it would stay on my dash. I drive a 2010 Prius, and I was skeptical at first, because the dash is somewhat slanted. But it really works! My friend hid the charge cable under the dash in such a way that this product is mounted next to the small triangular window on the driver side of the car's interior. After traveling cross-country with this setup, I am so happy to say that, with the exception of a couple of instances where the suction (which came with the GPS, not this product) released itself, my GPS unit stayed put!
