Customers recognize the Data Backup or Transfer (In Store) service for its data transfer capabilities, ease of use, and speed. Many customers appreciate the overall performance, service, and the ability to quickly back up their hard drives. While the knowledge and professionalism of the staff are valued, some customers express concerns about the price of the service.
We'll back up or transfer your data** to one medium or device (including DVDs, NAS, hard drive, etc.). You will need to supply the backup device unless you opt for a cloud-based backup service.***
Purchase this optional service and we'll provide a hard drive for you, in order to back up or transfer your data. Talk to your Geek Squad Agent for pricing and further details.
We will make sure the data maintains the same folder structure as the previous location. (For example, documents will go into the My Documents folder.)
We'll install and configure included or built-in software for any external hard drive, and we'll help you set up a data backup schedule that fits your needs.
*This service does not include network device setup or managing file names or tags.
**If you need to back up or transfer more than 9.4 GB to DVD, you'll also need to purchase an add-on service to handle the extra data. Talk to your Geek Squad Agent for pricing and further details.
***Please note that this is a drop-off service, so it will not be performed while you wait. A Geek Squad Agent will provide an estimated pickup date when you drop off your devices.
