This Dell laptop does the job but isn't the best. I was wanting something cheaper but wanted something that would still perform fast and do what I needed it to do. I have owned this computer less than a year and I can tell you that it is very slow and I would recommend it for business use. I do a lot of multitasking and it lags and can't keep up with me as fast as I would like for it to. Again, it does the job for something simple, maybe like college work. But if you plan to have multiple programs and windows open at all times, I would go with something different.

I just purchased two of these. The case is very cheap vs my past HP's. On both if you touch the sides/ edges of the keyboard case with moderate hand pressure it makes a clicking sound. I can rest my right palm on the corner during use and sometimes it clicks when I first touch it. Pick it up to move it with an open screen and it will click if you are lifting it from this right corner. It does not happen consistently but enough to be annoying. One unit is far worse and has multiple areas that make the clicking sound (ie like a pet training clicker). The other not so bad but does have at least one spot, Beware this model does not have a backlit keyboard. This does not concern my wife, but I like a backlit keyboard at night,, I should have stayed with HP..

Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.

Can not download apps without going out of S mode and also cannot create shortcuts to add to desktop. Also cannot drag and drop. Thinking of returning it. Windows 10 was 100% better tha 11
