I purchased this product alittle over 90 days ago. I absolutely loved it at first. unfortunately, after using the 360 degree tablet view THREE TIMES my lap top screen has now began pushing forward when opening. After doing some research online, I have found SEVERAL other complaints on the exact same issue. Apparently when you use the tablet view the tight hinge puts pressure on the plastic srews and over time it breaks (please research yourself). I am a nursing student who needs a computer 24-7 and this defective product has me extremely upset. My refund/exchange policy with bestbuy ended 11 days ago. I resorted to dell warranty, after speaking to several different service support persons and 2 hours on the phone, I now need to send out this laptop to dell. I will be without a computer for up to 30 days. This very disappointing due to the fact It is absolutely a design flaw. I take great care of my products and to go through this without being at fault is extremely frustrating. Not to mention I've only had it for 101 days and have only used it minimal time. I have purchased several items at bestbuy over many years, this is a very disappointing situation.

This laptop is junk. I'm a grad school student and teacher so the only things I used this lap top for is education sites and websites for virtual teaching, such as Synergy. I bought this lap top on 4/5/2020 and today 7/11/2020 the lap top wouldn't turn on, saying it needed to be restored. I was forced to restore the computer or risk never using it again. Goodbye all files that were saved on the PC. If I were you, look for a different product.

Marissa,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about your computer's performance. In the future if you have trouble starting your computer you can try these steps:
1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

This computer was purchased as a gift. The recipient did not realize there was an issue with it until after return period. Purchased Geek Squad protection and they said the issue was not covered. Will not connect to internet and therefore is useless. Why bother buying additional protection if they will not assist. I purchase many computers for my company through Best Buy and will not purchase again. I understand that you can purchase "lemon" products - but when you have only had it and tried using it for a month and Geek Squad protection is useless - why bother? Have had good experience with other Dell computers. Unfortunately this one is a dud and we are receiving zero assistance. Trying to call again. Will see where we get. Will update if Geek Squad and Best Buy stand behind this.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the connection issues that this laptop is experiencing. Have you tried to reach out to Dell's Technical Support Team? You can seek additional assistance here: http://dell.to/2sH7Qlm.
If you'd like to troubleshoot the connectivity issues, you can follow these steps:
1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center
8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

The is laptop is okay for your basic needs. The processor is fast enough and it has plenty of storage. The shell is strong and seems to be well put together. However, the unit runs way too hot. Upgrading the BIOS does help, but it still gets warm under light loads. Although this is a 2 in 1, I would advise against folding all the way back on a regular basis. The hinges cause the shell to start bending and over time that's going to be an issue. The keyboard is comfortable and the keys are very quiet. However, the back light on the keys are dim so it can be a bit hard to see. The trackpad is pretty average. It does it's job without issues. The screen is vibrant and pretty sharp. For light video and image editing it performs well enough for semi-accurate colors and frame rates. It's not going to look great though for gaming, but then again that should be expected for a unit that doesn't have a discrete GPU. In typical Dell fashion, its loaded with all sorts of useless apps so be prepared to uninstall things right from the start. The WIFI can be very buggy. Often times it has hard time reconnecting back to the network once the unit awakens. I found it best just to do a restart. Regardless of what network I was on prior, the unit seems to have major rec-connecting issues. The battery life is decent, it's not terrible, but it's not great either. My old Macbook from 2015 still does a better job. However, the battery does seem to charge at a moderate speed, so that's a plus. The micro-sd card slot is a huge bonus for extra storage. It's also great because the card is flush with the side so it doesn't stick out. The webcam works well along with the mic and audio, which was the primary reason the machine. I needed something to teach my courses online and the webcam does a pretty good job. The image is much better than I expected. I would recommend this laptop for something basic that will serve your teleconferencing needs. It's not the fastest or lightest laptop, but I do think it will stand the test of time, provided you don't use it as a 2-1 on a regular basis.

The Dell 13 7000 i5 2n1 notebook is a replacement for my 2016 Dell 13 7000 i7 2n1 notebook. The newer i5 processor, memory and hardware features seems to be a bit faster than my original i7. The display is significantly better and the overall package of the notebook is lighter. I recently received my Dell pen for scribing and can only say that it was fairly easy to setup and connect via the Bluetooth connection. My software migration was accomplished with Laplink Migration Pro. My only adjustments were to obtain a Laplink USB Cable and re-enter my purchased software license codes. The only downside so far is the lack of USB ports. I may need to purchase a port replicator. Overall I am please with my open box purchase and the money saved by not purchasing a new notebook. This one arrived in perfectly condition.

I searched around for a long time for a tablet style keyboard and I’m not disappointed with this at all. It has a solid performance and switches effortlessly from tablet to laptop mode regardless of programs. It’s perfect size, very lightweight, and great for both work and downtime. A little pricier than some other options, but I wouldn’t go back on my decision at all.

Pros: - Powerful - Fast booting - Light weight Cons: - Heats a lot - 1 USB slot - The power button design is bad. It looks like as if it was broken and it gor replaced by a random key Overall: A very good and handy laptop

It is a very easy to use computer. It is comfortable and has a fast speed which makes you work better on it. Its model is very spectacular. It belongs to a brand that it is among some of the best today. It is a very good option to buy it. However, rarely by default you have to change it. Therefore, it is advisable to always put a guarantee as a precaution.

The fan works best in tablet mode, otherwise it’s kinda loud. Not the longest battery life. As a college student, I definitely need to keep the charger on me at all times. It runs best when saving things to an external memory (we use a mini sd card) instead of saving things on the laptop it’s self. Touchscreen/Tablet mode is very cool and runs well, and makes it worth it. I hope to fine a pen that works

Linus Tech Tips recommends this among all the current mainstream mid-range laptops. They made a good call. With newer (faster, more efficient) AMD Ryzen 4000 laptops coming out, that may no longer be the case. But at the time I bought this laptop (and I couldn't wait/needed it for work) this was the best price/performance available. My initial laptop had a quality control issue with the monitor bezel not being a perfect fit. Ended up returning the laptop after a few weeks and comparing it to the store's display model that didn't have the issue. Best Buy swapped it for me with no push back. Protip: I called Dell after a few more weeks and negotiated a full damage protection plan direct with them for cheaper than they advertise and cheaper than the Nerd Team® offers. The laptop is fast, the screen and touch screen quality is good, and there's minimal bloatware preinstalled. It can get hot on the bottom, the processor (I have the i5) is a decent performer and generates heat when doing work as a result. Casual internet use isn't an issue, only when doing anything processing intensive. Sound quality is surprisingly good. The built quality (issues with my initial unit aside) is top notch, the body is mostly metallic so flex is minimal and feel is higher end. Good input/output options, including a full size hdmi which is very useful if you need to connect to televisions, second monitors, or projectors. 8GB of system memory is enough for most things, but if you want to do any video editing it might be worth upgrading. The optane drive/memory makes app loading much faster, I did some testing with the optane drive removed from windows and the laptop was noticeably less 'snappy'. Highly recommend the laptop both as a daily driver and for portability, at least until the Ryzen 4000 laptops arrive at this price point for similar features and performance.

This is a small but powerful notebook, but out of the box, it ran too hot to sit on your lap. A bios power management update fixed this problem. This bios update is on Dell's website, but there is no information that will lead you to perform the update. Best Buy did not suggest this when we contacted them with the problem. Internet searches for this model, 7391, did not lead to a solution. Experience took us to the bios update.

I had gotten another brand of laptop previously and much preferred this one, once I exchanged it. This is very sleek, lightweight, yet seems powerful and is quick and easy to set up. The size is just perfect and I love the feature where I can flip it around like a tent and use it to browse, using touch screen or the pop-up keyboard. Love the backlight for the keyboard (with dim and high settings). So glad I purchased this!

Only had this laptop for a few weeks now. Enjoying the touch screen, compact size and lightweight feel, and backlit keyboard. It's been a little slow to start to be honest but it's been pretty good lately.

We got this to replace our 9-year-old laptop. We needed a PC to stream and our old laptop just couldn't keep up. This new Dell handled that without a problem. The touch screen and tablet mode are a real plus. I wish it had more USB ports, but a bus handles that. I have no use for the micro SD slot. They could have put in a regular SD slot. It wouldn't take that much space. But all in all a very good PC at a reasonable price.

Awesome laptop I’m currently studying for my nursing boards and it works perfectly. It’s fast, very compact, charge lasts a very long time. The only con I have found so far is that it gets very warm underneath when you’re using it while it’s charging. I love the slimness of the laptop and how light and compact it is. That’s probably my favorite feature. Overall terrific!
