My son had purchased a set of headphones that were more so made for computer gaming, however, he wanted to use for his PS4. This adapter allowed the proper connection between headphones and his PS4 wireless game controller.

My Laptop has a combo Audio Jack. This means I needed a 4-pole/conductor adapter for line-in (for recording). Line-out (for example, using headphone) would work fine without an adaptor. I tried using a 4-pole cable that I bought from Best Buy. That did not work, so I returned that and bought from Best Buy this product, Dynex™ - 3.5mm Headphone and Microphone Plug Adapter. This worked like a charm. Quite happy with Best Buy's customer service at my local store.

It's an unusual patch cable, but it has more uses than most people are aware of. My cell phone and laptop have the tip-ring-ring-sleeve jack, and I use this adapter to split the combined jack into a microphone jack and a stereo headphone jack. Bluetooth devices caused me more problems than they solved. Splitting out the combined jack allowed me to plugging my microphone and stereo headphones separately. I use the adapter for long conversations on my cell phone using a gaming headset, and for multi-track recording on my laptop. Looked high and low for this adapter. Finally found it at Best Buy.

My new laptop only had a combo jack for mic in and audio out. You can plug in speakers without this adapter if you just want audio out, but if you want to connect a mic and or a headset with a mic and earphones you'll need this. Works great. Compact size and not all that expensive.

I use this cable because my gaming headset cable plugs into a amp that is a single plug for the headphone and microphone. I send the microphone signal to my computer and the stereo headphone connect to a USB DAC amp. This helps fix a problem I had where the microphone just didn't sound good enough for team gaming going through the amp. It sounds fine going through the computer.

My daughter was unable to use the mic from her headset due to the single connection on her Windows laptop. This adaptor took care of the issue quick and easy, no software or drivers needed, just plug it in.

Perfect for what I needed. Bought a gaming headset for my xbox1, but needed this adapter to make it work. It's great, crystal clear sound, no issues at all. Thanks! Saved me from buying a different headset!

Now I realize that the way things are Bluetooth and everything I can't afford that stuff so people can't afford Bluetooth headphones and all that this is the way to go to people can listen to music at the same time out of the same player you can also go out and speakers out of one device and stereo on to other more advices devices it's a it's a must-have with older equipment for sure for sure

This came in very handy to connect my headphones to the laptop My work headset has pink and green connectors for the audio and mic. However, my new laptop only has one audio jack. It was alot cheaper to purchase this than another headset. Also purchased an additional one for my son to connect my other turtle Beach headset to his PS4 controller.

This was the most easily obtainable and low cost adapter for older headsets with separate lines and connectors for the mike and headphones. Worked as I wanted for an old headset of that vintage that I wanted to use with both the Playstation 4 and my phone.

This item splits mic and headphones on a 4 pole cord. For me, I used it on an older headset to connect to newer combo port. 4 stars is because the single end of the cord is rather large... if there is an audio jack too close to the one that this plugs into, you will not be able to use that neighboring jack.

Works just fine, no issues as of yet using my PC gaming headset on consoles (Switch, Xbox One). Only minor gripe is that the 3.5mm plug that goes into your devices is large. Tried using it on my phone, had to take the case off so that it would plug and fit. Otherwise, no problems.

Cute? Maybe not, but it is simple and to the point. My smartphone only has one jack for both headset and microphone. My headset has separate jacks for hearing and talking. It works!

Kids tend to tug on wires of their gaming systems. We usually tell them to detach of the base but they never listen. The adapter was the best solution to fix broken headphones and cost effective.

Laptop has a single audio port(jack) so was having problem running a microphone and speakers, it simply wasn't working right. So with this now I can have either connected, or both, and it works.

Product overall was made of quality material. Used with headphones, and external mic and a PS4 controller. Worked awesome.

My only con is that the plug that goes into my iPhone is too big for my iPhone's protective cover. I have to remove the protective cover every time I use the headphones with this adapter. Other than this cosmetic issue, it works great.

Great cable option if you need something right away & don’t want to spend a fortune...in my specific case I will be using it for gaming controller.

I purchased computer headphones & needed this to connect to my sons PS4 & phone. Works excellent, I would re-purchase if necessary.
