Highlights

  • Key Specs
    • Wi-Fi Range: 3000 square feet (The device will provide a Wi-Fi connection to this approximate area.)
    • Wi-Fi Mesh System: true (A single wireless network consisting of a main router (connected directly to a modem) that connects to a series of satellite modules or nodes placed around the home. Routers with this capability promote stronger, faster wireless signals as well as increase Wi-Fi coverage by reducing interference and eliminating dead zones.)
    • Number of Wi-Fi Satellites Included: 2 (Quantity of Wi-Fi satellite modules/nodes for a Wi-Fi Mesh System that come with the product.)
    • Number Of LAN Ports: 2 (Number of devices able to be connected to the Local Area Network (LAN). LAN ports allow wired connections to other networking devices (wireless access points, range extenders, etc.) in order to share the internet connection received through a WAN port.)
    • Wi-Fi Speed: 1.8 gigabits per second (The maximum rate at which data is transferred between a network device and wireless router.)
  • General
    • Brand: eero
    • Model Number: M110211
    • Product Name: 6 AX1800 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System (2-pack)
    • Color: White
  • Security
    • Data Encryption: true
    • Encryption Type: WPA3-Personal, WPA2-PSK (The security protocols or certification programs that protect the Wi-Fi network.)
    • Firewall Type: NAT (The method the firewall uses to filter and process data to increase network security, primarily by blocking malicious traffic requests while allowing legitimate traffic through.)
    • Parental Controls: true (Allows user to block unwanted content, signals, channels, networks, etc. from being received or accessed.)
  • Network
    • Band Technology: Dual (Refers to the number of frequency bands used to wirelessly transmit an internet signal. For example, dual-band devices may use one 2.4 and one 5 GHz band, while tri-band devices may use one 2.4 and two 5 GHz bands. Multiple bands also provide more flexibility for designating connected devices to specific band use.)
    • Ethernet Standard: 10/100/1000 (Each standard is a variation of the IEEE 802.3 set of computer networking technologies known as Ethernet. New versions evolved to include higher bandwidth, different physical media, and other new and improved features. Standards are often denoted by speeds (in Megabits per second). For example, a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port transmits at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps).)
    • Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz (Bands may be grouped into categories such as low- and high-band VHF (Very High Frequency), low- and high-band UHF (Ultra High Frequency), or certain frequency channels (measured in MHz or GHz). Generally, higher frequencies transmit information faster but have shorter range than lower frequencies.)
    • Wireless Networking Standard: Wi-Fi 6 (The wireless networking standard used by the device. Each iteration of the standard developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance corresponds to an existing IEEE 802.11 protocol; for example, standard 802.11ac (or AC) is termed Wi-Fi 5. Refers specifically to the standard the device is designed to use, but ultimately determines product interoperability and backward compatibility including previous versions.)
    • Wireless Standard: AX, AC, N (The wireless networking protocol used by the device. Each iteration of the protocol is based on the 802.11 standard developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standards Association. Denoted by letters following 802.11 (802.11a, 802.11ac, etc.), each version, published in alphabetical order, encompasses all previous versions.)
    • Wi-Fi Range: 3000 square feet (The device will provide a Wi-Fi connection to this approximate area.)
    • Input/Output Technology: MU-MIMO (Multi-user Multiple-Input Multiple Output) (Generally, multiple-input multiple-output communication technologies allow for more signals to be transmitted at a single time, which can improve the device's overall performance.)
    • Number of 2.4Ghz Streams: 1 (A router's streams are like lanes on a highway. The more streams a router has, the less traffic congestion. Because the 2.4 GHz band is used to transmit wireless signals to a wide variety of devices, there is often high amounts of traffic on that stream. But with multiple streams, each can be designated to a specific device for optimal performance. For example, if one 2.4 GHz stream is assigned to one device, such as a desktop computer, it leaves the remaining streams open for guest users, devices that use more data, or devices with specific band compatibility.)
    • Number of 5.0Ghz Streams: 1 (A router's streams are like lanes on a highway. The more streams a router has, the less traffic congestion. The 5.0 GHz band provides high speed, short-range data transmission and typically has less traffic than the 2.4 GHz band. With multiple streams, each can be designated to a specific device for optimal performance. For example, if one 5.0 GHz stream is assigned to one device, such as a streaming media player, it leaves the remaining streams open for guest users, devices that need less data, or devices with specific band compatibility.)

Q: Is there ethernet ports on both or just one?

A: On the eero AX1800 dual band wi fi 6 there are two Ethernet ports on the main router. One of these ports are used to connect to your isp’s modem so there is only one port available for wired Ethernet expansion. The satellite units do not have any ports on them.

Q: How eero will work with 2.4ghz network because I need for my smart device like light bulbs, door bell etc..

A: It works just fine. If you need to connect specifically to 2.4 ghz in the settings>troubleshooting>device won’t connect. You can temporarily pause the 5 ghz so that your devices can cannot to the 2.4ghz only.

Q: Will this work with my Xfinity router and all my ring devices? I’m placing Ring security cams around the house and I need this thing to work.

A: Will it work with your Xfinity router? This depends on how you have your router configured. If it is providing any type of wireless service today it could create issues because it could contend on the same frequencies as the new eeros would. This is not unique to eeros - this would be problem with any new mesh network. Hopefully the new eeros mesh will see that the existing router frequencies are being used and then choose different frequencies. If you can turn off the wireless on the existing router that would be the best solution. If you cannot turn off the existing wireless be certain to use a new SSID (network name) which is different than the existing router. I turned off the wireless on my existing router and reused the old SSID but even still I had to go through the installation process for about 50% of my devices because they did not automatically connect or show up in the eeros network. If you use a new SSID you will have to go through the installation process for 100% of your devices. As for Ring devices I have two of the door bells and they work fine with the eeros. Sorry for the long explanation but wanted to make sure you got the right info.

Q: How many extenders can I attach to the eero 6 system? It came with 2 extenders and I would like to add 2 more.

A: You can have a great many extenders. The largest network I've personally seen had 54 eero on it. You will run into more practical concerns first, like cost and having the eero too close. If the eero are too close your devices won't move around form eero to eero and it can cause a decrease in speed overall. In general we like to have about 30 to 50 feet between eero (this varies with wireless environment so experimenting will be the key, start slow and add them a few at a time)

Q: A good amount of people stay in my house, when I try to play my playstation games online the connection is slow. The wifi box is two floors down from the location of my playstation. Do I need one satellite or two?

A: Two eero would be best. Have one plugged into your modem/internet connection, this will be the primary/gateway eero and will generate a new wifi network for your devices. Have the other eero next to your Playstation and hardwire that Playstation to one of the ethernet ports on the eero. This will let the eero handle all the wifi communication.

Q: how long is the warranty on this device?

A: eero come with a 1 year warranty on them. Give eero support a call if you are having issues with this eero.

Q: So, is the second AP like just a repeater? Does it need physical connection to the first router? I am confused. I am guessing it just takes the signal of the main router and repeats it from the second?

A: Only the first one must be wired to router. The second one will be repeater without the need of physical connection. By the way in every kit only one have the capability to add an ethernet cable to it.

Q: Can this be used with portable internet, ( AT&T MiFi)?

A: Hello Tito, you want to know if the Amazon eero 6 AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System (2-pack) will work with your AT&T MiFi. In order for the Amazon eero 6 AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System (2-pack) to work you will have to connect it to a modem via ethernet port. Hope this has answered your question. Have an amazing day!

    Happy Condo

This EERO mesh system worked great and helped me resolve my slow Wi-Fi signal in my 1290 sq ft condo due to the concrete walls. I was struggling before to obtain enough signal strength for my exterior front door Ring doorbell. Now I'm well satisfied.

    Eero Wifi mesh

I recently purchased the eero Wi-Fi mesh system from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Setup was incredibly straightforward, thanks to the intuitive app that guided me through every step. Within minutes, my entire home had seamless Wi-Fi coverage. The speed and stability have been impressive — no more dead spots or buffering issues, even when multiple devices are connected. It has drastically improved my online experience, making streaming, gaming, and working from home much smoother. The eero system also offers great parental controls and security features, giving me peace of mind. Overall, a great investment for anyone looking to boost their home Wi-Fi coverage. Highly recommended!”

    Great Product, Easy to Use

I needed a product that would boost the Wi-Fi signal so that we could stream without buffering. The eero works perfectly! The price is good (midrange) for a mesh system, and it is simple to install. I am not tech savvy and I had both devices installed and working in about 15 minutes. (The hardest part was typing in the Wi-Fi name and password.) The instructions are clear and well-written to make it as easy as possible. It works by connecting one device to the router and putting the other somewhere in the house where the Wi-Fi needs to be stronger. The eero system also can add additional devices; I don’t need this as the 2 in the pack are doing the job, but it was an option that I considered when deciding which mesh product to choose. The eero system works great; I haven’t had any problems with buffering, especially during the day, and I can log into steamers like Hulu and Netflix on my smart tv when before, it sometimes wouldn’t even load. I feel like I got a great deal for the money.
