A: The moisture sensors in the Frigidaire 8.0 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Steam and Instant Refresh detect when clothes are dry to prevent over-drying. They gently tumble the clothes while monitoring the moisture levels and automatically adjust the drying time accordingly, ensuring that clothes are dried thoroughly without being damaged. This helps keep clothes looking their best and prevents shrinkage, fading, and other damage that can occur from over-drying.
A: Yes, a gas connector and vent kit are required for installation, but they are not included with the dryer and must be purchased separately.
A: The reversible door feature allows the dryer door to be installed to open from either the left or right side, providing flexibility in laundry room configurations. This can be particularly advantageous in tight spaces or when the dryer is placed next to other appliances or obstacles, making it easier to load and unload clothes.
A: The Extended Tumble option in the Frigidaire 8.0 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Steam and Instant Refresh keeps clothes tangle- free by gently tumbling them without heat after the drying cycle ends. This is particularly useful when you cannot remove clothes from the dryer immediately, preventing wrinkles and tangles.
A: The control lock feature in the Frigidaire 8.0 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Steam and Instant Refresh is designed to prevent accidental or unwanted use of the dryer. By activating the control lock, the dryer's controls are disabled, making it impossible to change settings or start the dryer unintentionally. This feature is particularly useful in households with children or pets who may accidentally press the dryer's buttons.
A: The Perfect Steam option on the Frigidaire 8.0 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Steam and Instant Refresh gently releases steam to relax fabric fibers, reducing wrinkles and static. It is designed to be gentle on fabrics, making it suitable for a variety of clothing items.
A: The extra large capacity of 8.0 Cu. Ft. allows users to dry more clothes in each load compared to smaller dryers. This can save time and energy, as fewer loads need to be dried. Additionally, the larger capacity can accommodate larger items, such as comforters and blankets, which may not fit in smaller dryers.

I purchased my dryer open box, saved some cash after buying a different open box that gave up 2 weeks in. I installed the water line, vent line and gas line and everything turned on properly. I put a load to wash and then threw it in the dryer. 2 minutes in it is giving me a EF3 code. I cjecked the vent, i checked the lint trap, and i also whiped the moisture sensor with alcohol as instructed on line. Nothing worked. Its 10pm and i have wet clothes. Alright i came back to update i checked drying every cycle and at different temperatures to try to bypass the code. Nothing worked still stops 2 minutes in. I also unplugged it and redid all the steps still pops up code 2 minutes into dry. The clothes doesnt get hot, hold up…. Alright im back, my gas valve wasn’t opened. It works now and cleared the EF3 code. That needs to be added to the trouble shooting instructions. Check gas line has no obstructions and is on. Everything was pointing me to moisture sensor. Well hope this helps

I purchased a gas dryer in November 2024, and it has been a nightmare ever since. From the start, it sounded like a spoon rattling inside a tin can. After ruling out any external sources for the noise, I reached out to Electrolux support. They scheduled a technician to come out, but his first repair attempt lasted over three hours and left the dryer in worse condition than before. The technician deemed it unrepairable and promised to report it as such. Communication from both the technician and Electrolux was severely lacking. I received no clear answers, only that they would not replace the dryer and the technician would return with parts. Weeks later, he did return and managed to get the dryer running "good enough" and "better than before," though he admitted he hoped it would continue to run. The rattling noise was replaced by a high-pitched whine. Despite the dryer being only two months old, Electrolux refuses to replace it. They offered me the option to purchase an extended warranty but wouldn't extend the warranty on their own in good faith. This experience has shown me that Electrolux does not truly stand behind their products. They received full price for what is now essentially a refurbished dryer. Don't make the same mistake I did—look elsewhere for a reliable dryer.
