Questions & Answers
my eco tank 8500 takes 6 inks, but the 552 pack only has 5 do i need to buy a separate bottle.
Answered by EpsonHello. The 552 Ink Bundle (T552920-S) includes Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Grey, and Photo Black. The sixth bottle would be Black, and the product number is T552020-S. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
How does the PB ink compare with the BK ink, and why do you need both? Also, why don't they just make a pack that contains all six inks, including the two blacks?
Answered by EpsonHello kat. Photo Black ink is used when printing on glossy or luster papers, while Regular Black is intended for standard or matte‑finish papers. Most customers typically use one type of paper consistently, which is why we offer both options. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Does the ink expire? I was told that they can last up to 2 years in the printer, and all 6 come with the printer I want already. But I have the funds now to buy both the printer and an additional ink package, whereas I might not when I need a refill.
Answered by EpsonHello Ariel. For optimal performance, it is recommended that the ink be used 6 months after opening the bottle. However, the ink will continue to perform as designed until fully consumed. It is further recommended that the ink be stored in its original packaging in a cool, dark place. Also, open the bottle immediately before use and replace the cap immediately after pouring the ink into the ink tank. Regards. Kevin - The Epson Team.
