I didnt like paying for the Arlo subscription every month so i replaced the whole system with Eufy. Both solar powered. I should have kept arlo. The main issue i had was with recording times , with arlo it can be set to continue recording when there is still activity . With Eufy it can only record 120 seconds max and will stop recording when activety ends - and not restart with new activity of the same subject(weird default option) . This makes a big difference in practice, We had a theft from our car during our 5 years owning arlo. We were able to get the 4 minutes recording of the thief checking car doors and go through one car searching, then the theft . Activity didnt end so it kept recording. With Eufy we have a theft from the front porch and the video cut off after recording time and missed the activity of the actual theft. So missed it completely . Also W eufy you have to balance between solar generated power with how much surveillance wanted . With my house in sunny arizona , several of the devices needed at least 4 hours of direct sunlight and i hade to purchase a seperate solar panal to keep up with the power required , and still didnt have the survellance wanted

4K video is too compressed and the cameras need an option to have uncompressed recordings. Or if not uncompressed please add a higher FPS setting in 2k recording maybe? I cannot even read license plates in full day light. I have a 2k wired EUFY cam and the 4K cams actually look worse. Sound is extremely sensitive to wind noise. The Microphones are mostly useless if there is a light breeze. The Motion detection is so-so and often records mid way through an event. The spot light rarely turns on at night for motion but it does still record video. It would be nice if the light turned on for every event to ward off intruders. You can set the cam to record for longer but there needs to be a much longer recording time since these are solar. Overall disappointed, I'll likely sell them since I'm beyond return policy. The base is nice though and I'll probably keep that.

The footage quality is great but this system fails when it comes to reliability. The motion detection range is short when compared to blink. The system randomly goes offline for hours. Eufy customer service is no help at all and will not send you a replacement . I’m giving it 2 starts due to video quality and features.

The picture is very clear. Movement in the cameras view does not record all the time. When it does record, it’s only for a short period of time even while it’s set at the maximum length.

Video quality is great! Zoom is pretty nice as well. Only thing is one camera does not charge by the solar panel. I have to take it down and charge it by wire. And the motion sometimes doesn't turn on. For the hefty price i would recommend a wired system.

These cameras are promising but don’t last as long as the eufyCam 2 Pro. I upgraded from the eufyCam 2 Pro to the eufyCam 3. The video recording, A.I. person detection, connection, and new homebase are great, but the cameras are not durable. I had to go through the warranty process for one camera because it wouldn’t turn on, and customer support was excellent. However, the replaced camera also stopped working within a year, and I can’t reset or fix it. Another camera was not functioning correctly, but Eufy customer support asked for a lot of detail and camera logs before the warranty expired. My 3 existing eufyCam 2 Pro cameras are going on 4 years and still work perfectly fine. They may not have the same 4K quality, but they haven’t given me any issues like these eufyCam 3. The solar power system is not reliable. I have had to manually charge them many times throughout the year. I was hoping for a more automatic system, but this was not the solution, even though I live in a sunny place like Arizona. If I were to purchase these again, I would add some protection plan or extended warranty upfront.

Have very mixed feelings about this camera system. The cameras were packaged very nicely and the setup was very easy, but the overall functionability of the camera system was poor, there is no live 24-Hour recording, The cameras pick up motion and the AI work s some of the time, The record time is very short sometimes missing what was truly important. I would not recommend this system to anybody looking to protect your property.

I am not happy with the performance of this units, it takes 4ever to see a picture after it has give an alert, also everytime you look at an alert the stupid thing keeps taking pictures of the review of the alert , totally sucks must likely I’ll be returning these items

One of the cameras is now dead, just 2.5 months out of warranty. Before that, I couldn't say that the detection was great at night. My neighbor's car was vandalized and I had nothing to share with the police. The Homebase is sluggish and needs frequent reboots. I finally just hooked it up to a smart switch so that I don't have to keep running to the unit to reset.

Nice camera, it had all the specs we wanted. We purchased it, thinking it had local stored memory, but once we got home we did more research and found that the only issue we had was that its cloud stored and not local and has the chance of people opening your camera from their computer.

After installing my cameras I was happy with my purchase until the snow came and everything changed, they worked when they wanted to. I contacted the company directly and I wasn't happy then I tried to get a refund from Best Buy and it was refused. Almost $700 lost, never again.

I returned my previous eufycam pro 2 and upgraded to this one for the reasons I explained on my review for the pro 2. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same problems with this new product! Seriously? I have this set up exactly the way I want, and this freaking thing still won't do what it's made to do! It's supposed to record up to 60 seconds of video as long there's motion within its view. And yet, it doesn't seem to record no more than 9 SECONDS while there's still motion activity right in front of the camera!!! Sheesh! For $550, you would think it would do the one job it was made to do!! So, here we go again! Another below average rating for the "infamous" eufyCam!!

I bought these for the fact that it was a localized storage and not cloud based which was great. The canera quality is good and the night vision was good. The worst thing was motion detection. The motion detection is absolutely useless. I went through every setting and read online how to maximize it but no resolve. The cameras are only detecting motion from about 5-8ft away, anything past it nothing. Will be taking them back cause i cant sit and watch my cameras 24/7. I have the cheap plug in ring camera in my window pointing at the same direction that the eufy camera was and the ring camera is picking up motion right when you enter my driveway the eufy cam picks em up when they are passing the camera. Returning them and finding something else
