[Employee of bestbuy] Great product. Ties into the doorbell to allow access easier to unlock the door. This one has the had reader and a key pad. There is another with the doorbell and a camera as well in the same unit. I have a doorbell with the two cameras so it was not needed. Battery is proprietary to the unit and rechargeable. There is a smaller backup battery built into the cover panel on the lock side. Guess this is for when the main battery dies you can still open the door with the keypad? Battery seems to be lasting a good amount of time. 5 weeks and still at 90% Had one hiccup. The reader would not activate when hovering my hand over the reader. Typed in my passcode and it worked. Once inside, I pulled the cover and power cycled the device by pulling the battery. Has worked evey since.

Amazing!! Vein detection works great. Install was simple. Took about 3-5 minutes with a friend. Battery last long, and has additional back up battery option. Love this !! The app is stunning as well !!! I get lots of compliments. It self locks on a timer as well if your hands are full. Just close the door. It will deadbolt automatically :)

I like this eufy smart door lock very much because I don't have to bring any keys with me. This Eufy Smart Lock can read my palm all the time and very easy to go out and in. This lock also has a auto lock when you just close the door for 15 or 20 seconds depending on the setting.

This device works very well as a standalone unit that doesn't require a home base. While the home base does provide faster access, I specifically chose this model so my kids can see outside on the screen without opening the door or checking. Two areas for improvement are clear: with a faster connection, loading times can occasionally be longer, and there isn’t a way to hide the door’s frame. Overall, it performs even better with a home base. I also purchased an extra battery to ensure there’s no downtime when the battery runs low.

Eufy products seem to get better and better each year. This deadbolt has so many features that make it stand out from the rest. I already had the Eufy app setup on my phone so setup was very simple. Instillation into my door was also a breeze and took about 10 minutes. Just ready all the instructions and follow the guide in the app. Once installed in the door you also have to do the calibration which took a minute or two. What I love about this deadbolt replacement is that you have four different ways to unlock your door. You can use your palm, number code, app, and even a physical key. Since this is my only door into my house, I didn't want to forgo a key because technology breaks or can have issues and I want to be able to get inside my home no matter what. The keyhole is hidden behind the doorbell button, so it is nicely hidden but there if you need it. I thought the Palm reader would be finicky or just not work well, and thankfully I was wrong. Every time I place my palm towards the reader it unlocks with no issues. We currently have lots of construction happening around us and even when the palm sensor is coated with dirt, it still works with no issue! They key code and app also work great, but the having the palm sensor just makes using the unlock function so much easier. I opted not to have the door auto lock since it's so easy to just push the button on the keypad to lock when needed. You can also unlock or lock via the app, and the app shows the status of the door. The camera works great and shows pretty much my whole front porch area. I wish It had a downward facing camera like their doorbells to keep an eye on packages. The battery life has been great as well and much better than the doorbell we had. I believe that since the battery is now inside the house, the extreme temps are no longer an issue for the battery. There is also four double A batteries inside for backup, and even a USB C plug on the outside to provide power if the system goes totally dead and you need to get it power to open your door. If you have the physical key power is not needed, but its nice that they provide this additional feature. The built-in screen is easy to view and provides good clarity. The screen is not really needed for me as my door has windows at the top so anyone can really see in or out. However, this would be great for kids who might not be able to see out the window and can view on the screen who is outside. One thing I think that is missing is a onetime passcode. My old keypad lock had codes you could generate for onetime use. This was great for letting in a neighbor, repair person, etc and you are not home. They could enter the code get let in and then the code would expire, and they would no longer have access. I did not see a way to do this in the Eufy app, and I think it would be a great feature to incorporate into future updates. I really love that eufy didn't just great a keypad/palm reader to open the door but also incorporated a physical lock. I'm old school and like the option to just open the door with a key if all else fails, and many keypad locks skip out on this option. It seems like Eufy put a lot of thought into this door lock and incorporated everything a person could need/want. If I had a second outside door, I would get another one in a heartbeat as it works so well.
