This replaced an older Ring and I have been quite satisfied. Installation was relatively easy but some parts could have been a bit clearer. For instance, I had the mounting plates backwards on the 1st try. The 2 camera design is a nifty idea but has no advantages for me. My deliveries are always left out near the porch steps as opposed to the front door so it really does not capture anything. The video is clear & the microphone picks up sound from even out on the street. Tried turning off the human detection feature & it kept going off even when a lizard ran across my porch so I had to turn it back on. The app is a tad slow. It takes a few seconds for the notification to pop up on you the phone & when you try to open the video, it takes another few seconds. There is not terrible lag but quicker would be nice. Overall the app is OK, not the most intuitive at times but fine. The night vision works & I left it at the color option so that the top & bottom light goes off when motion is detected. Hoping that this will deter strangers from coming closer to my house. The local storage is a big plus since there is no monthly fee. I did not see a way to add an SD Card but the 8gb seems good enough. It is also convenient that you can delete videos from your phone. This connected to my in-house chime but you do have to go into the settings & turn it on after installation. The only place this seems to trail behind the Ring is that there is no strong online community. Decently priced so giving this 5 stars.

We recently went from a Ring Video Doorbell 4 to a eufy Video Doorbell E340. The E340 has been a great upgrade so far. I like that it has a higher resolution camera, better motion detection, and an additional lower camera for packages. I also have the eufy HomeBase 3 which adds a lot of extra functionality, like more storage, video playback speed, better motion detection, and a stronger wifi connection. Combined with the HomeBase 3 the E340 is excellent at motion detection. Something Ring struggled with or just couldn't to do at all. I live on busy street with vehicles and pedestrians and I only want notifications and motion detection about humans and pets. The E340 only records what I tell it to. At first I just used battery power and with all of the settings maxed, it drained about 10% or more a day. That wasn't going to work for me, so I hardwired it with new 18 ga. wires and a new 24V 40VA transformer and so far it's been keeping the battery charged. Once I hardwired it, I did a reset by going into the doorbell settings in the app and go to General/About Device/Reset Device. I had to go through the “adding a new device” setup process again and then chose hardwired for power. It tested my transformer to make sure it's compatible with the doorbell. I see a plug icon in the app now for the doorbell power instead of just a battery. I wish that when you hardwire the doorbell camera, it wouldn’t need the battery anymore. But so far the new 24V 40VA transformer has kept it charged. For a doorbell chime I use the HomeBase 3 and a separate eufy plug-in chime add-on. They are on separate levels so when someone pushes the doorbell button I can hear it on both floors of our house and on my phone. The video quality during the day has been great and the night color vision is clear and detailed if someone is at the door. If there's someone 20'+ away it gets pretty grainy, but recording detail that far away isn't really what the doorbell camera is for. positives: being subscription free, local video storage, wireless, solar charging options, higher resolution cameras, fairly easy setup, a nice app, and lot's of camera models to choose from. Bugs: Watching an event video can be frustrating sometimes. It will start and play fine, but if you want to pause rewind or fast forward, it sometimes will freeze or glitch. I'm hoping an app or firmware update fixes this eventually. Even with a few bugs, the E340 Doorbell plus the HomeBase 3 has proven to be a much better doorbell/security camera setup. I would never go back to Ring. Eufy has been more reliable and advanced in so many ways. In fact I also picked up a couple eufy outdoor S340 solar powered cameras and love them.

Easy to set up and very convenient to use. The dual cameras provide a clear view of both visitors and packages, and the 2K video quality is sharp day and night. I like the flexibility of having both wired and battery options, and the Wi-Fi connection has been reliable. Overall, it feels well made and works exactly as expected.
