Answered by SonyListensHi Shey, SEL50F18F is compatible with a3000 but with certain restrictions. The SteadyShot (integrated image stabilization technologies used in Sony cameras) is not supported and when in standby in movie mode, and during movie recording, it switches to manual focus (MF). The lense is perfect for portraiture and a range of other subjects. It may also be used for an outdoor maternity shoot.
