    Hi Karen - this appliance is considered weather-resistant. It should not be fully exposed to the elements, but installed or stored under partial cover.

  • will a windy snow storm tip it over? How far does the heat reach? If the heater element goes out, are there replacements available and how hard is it to change?

    Yes if the wind is strong enough. This unit is electric. You would not want it outside in a snow storm. Heats about 5 or 6 feet on either side of it. Adequate for 2 people "social distancing."
