All I really have to say is that Turn 10 really went all out on this one and nailed it on the head! As soon as I started playing, I couldn't put the controller down.. I had to make sure I had my spare battery charged and some extra AA batteries just in case. This open world work of art is not just a pretty face, it is a no holds bar racing game that can be very rewarding or very unforgiving if you make one wrong move. But at the end of the day, it will have you grinning from ear to ear from tearing up the Australian countryside in one of your dream cars. 10/10 in my book. If you haven't got your copy yet, you better get on down to the store and pick one up and start your adventure.

The Forza series have revolutionized how you look and play racing games!! Forza Horizon 3 is definitely a masterpiece!! Love all that it has to offer!!

Forza Horizon 3 is the fun, arcade racer that we have been longing for. Up until this point, I felt that the Forza series on current Xbox gen felt as if there was something missing whether is was a custom soundtrack, lack of track selections or weather details. Horizon 3 has a great open world with variety of race tracks, incredible weather detail that affects the steering and lastly, the option to play YOUR custom soundtrack. I haven't been this excited to play a racer like this in a very long time. Unfortunately, there isn't an option for split screen racing. Nonetheless, this game is a lot of fun no matter what your racing skill may be. I live for these moments in gaming.

Forza Horizon 3 is Microsoft's first shot at gaming utilizing HDR technology, and with their first shot they hit the bull's eye. The game looks absolutely amazing on a 4K TV with HDR capabilities. Besides the awesome graphics Forza Horizon 3 offers great gameplay as well. Racing in Australia looks real and feels real with all of the different environments. Building off of the success from Forza Horizon 2, the game gives the player complete control of the Horizon event. Players can control the music, the race event type, car paint, and even the performance of vehicles. Every car make and model is present in this installment making Forza Horizon 3 a must own for any fan of the series or racing games.

Every Horizon game so far just keeps making the series better and better. This time around, you are the boss of the festival and also its talent. Everything revolves around you. You get to choose from a few different avatars to represent you in game. Your assistant will also call you by name. (Your name has to be on an in game list but it's a pretty big list.) But the most important part is the racing and Horizon 3 goes bigger than ever. The tracks are even more fun and varied with different regions playing a big part in the track types. There are tracks in the city, the outback (my favorite with its hills that make for some easy skill chains) and the rainforest. The cars are a mixture of what you expect and some quirky new Australian rides. It's also even easier to play with friends with the new co op campaign option. If you enjoy cars, this game has something to offer you.

I'm a big fan of the Forza Motorsport series and never took the Horizon series very seriously. Well that was a mistake, I started playing Horizon 2 shortly before Horizon 3 came out and now I'm very much sold on the series. Everything that made the first two Horizon games great goes to 11 in Horizon 3. The new Australian location is great, being the boss is very enjoyable, the sound track is very solid (especially the new hip hop station), and the cars are the star of the show. There's enough for sim fans like me and open world arcade racing fans alike. Forza Horizon 3 is easily one of my top 5 XB1 releases this year and must play if you're looking for a fun racing game with hours upon hours of gameplay. Oh yeah, another plus is if you have a HDR capable television an awesome looking game can look even better. Forza Horizon 3 is flat out excellent.

I'm like a gitty kid on Christmas morning with this game. I love everything about it from the graphics, the cars, the freedom to take on what I want as I wish from races to PR stunts/drifting or jumps. Sometimes I even get lost in time just customizing the look of my favorite car. This game is just great, if you like racing games, this game is a must have. Its arcade like, but you can modify it to be a simulator type game, I prefer the arcade settings. So I think this game has something for the gear heads and the arcade racers.

The Forza racing game franchise in the last few years has become king of the genre. The first one blended a fun arcade racer with the great mechanics of the Forza Motorsport franchise which provided for a fun, yet grounded arcade racer. Horizon 2 improved on its predecessor in every facet with it's beautiful open world of Southern Europe, the openness of the world itself, the showcases, cars, and all around fun. It made you wonder what else could they possibly do to improve going into the inevitable third Horizon game and Playground Games knocked it out of the park. With Horizon 3, you are the boss of the festival. The campaign has you working your way around the Australian map looking to expand and make the Horizon festival even bigger. What sets Horizon 3 a part from its predecessor is the sheer amount of customization you have now. You have a select number of character avatars to choose from and can even pick a name or nickname you'd like to be called. Being referred to by my own name in a game just makes for a more personalized experience and that is what Horizon 3 is about. You making the festival your own. Even to the point where you can design the races themselves with the blueprint system. From a gameplay standpoint, you know what to expect for anyone familiar with the previous games or the Forza franchise itself. Just an awesome all around racing experience. The driving mechanics are on point as usual and all the other aspects from weather effects add even more. One thing I love about Forza is that each of the two versions, Motorsport and Horizon tend to build on each other's strengths. I personally like how Horizon 3 has incorporated more of the weather effects from Forza 6 with the puddles and such on the raceways. The Australia setting itself is beautiful and extremely diverse from cool beaches, the desert outback, urban area, and jungle which just adds to the experience.

Forza racing games never let you down. This game is fun and immersive, the world is beautiful and detailed and there's so many cars and races and things to keep you playing for hours on end. Buying this version is great if you're a forza racing games fan don't let them sell out or you'll be stuck downloading digitally and won't get the amazing steel book case it comes with

This has easily got to be the BEST Horizon game to date! I will even state that this is the best racing game on current gen consoles so far. The details that went into this game are remarkable! From the different engine sounds for each car or truck, the race track environments to the tiny details where dirt, gravel, and water actually react to racing conditions. I own a PS4 as well so I am not being biased in this review when I say that this game is a must-have whether you're a casual racing fan or like being competitive (the game offers online racing as well as increasing the difficulty). I can't comment on the season pass since it's still too early to see what is being offered and if the season pass is worth the purchase. If there was anything negative I could say, it would be that there isn't any split screen racing which is sorely missed in racers these days for when you want to couch race against a friend of significant other.

From the graphics to the selections of cars, this is one of the best racing games ever and is a must own if you like racing games!!! If you are a Best Buy Gamer's Club Member and can spare a extra few bucks definitely upgrade to the ultimate edition, you will not be disappointed. It comes with a bunch of extra cars that are top notch and you get an update of new ones almost every month because of the season and car pass that comes with the game (ultimate edition). If you are a car enthusiast or love racing games there is no reason why this game should not be in you library. I will state that it is more of an arcade racer than a simulator, so if those are more your cup of tea stick to the Forza Motorsport series.

If you're fan of simulation arcade style open world racers you really need to check out Horizon 3. I'm generally a diehard Forza Motorsport guy, but Horizon 3 is breath taking and incredibly fun experience w/o getting bogged down in the tuning...well unless you really want to. The game looks, plays, and sounds great plus it has excellent online functionality as well with cross platform play with Windows 10 or multiplayer story and club modes. There are tons of cars to choose from with more on the way (the first two car packs are already out) and plenty to do in the wide open excellently rendered Australia. Horizon 3 is hands down the best non-sim racer on the XB1 and possibly my pick for GOTY on the system.

I don't pre-order games often, and I practically never spring for the pricier deluxe/ultimate/collctor's editions. The Forza Horizon series is the exception. With each game in the series, the developers have proved that they are dedicated to delivering a quality experience, packed with content, with the focus on fun and exploration. While the Forza Motorsport games are expertly crafted works of beauty, they tend to leave me cold after a while. I'm not particularly interested in getting the best lap times possible, or driving the same twenty tracks over and over again. The gorgeous, open-world exploration of the Horizon series is right up my alley! The second game in the series, 2014's FH2, was easily one of the greatest racing games ever made. Even huge fans of the series were wondering how developer Playground Games would manage to improve on it, but they found a number of ways to make the newest iteration even better! The stunning graphics aside, PG made numerous tweaks to how the game's systems work that result in a more fun and convenient gameplay experience, particularly for those of us who sink hundreds of hours into these games. For example, remember how annoying it was to have to do the whole "road trip" to each new set of races once you'd won over a hundred championships? You're never forced to do that in this game. Events can be played multiple times with slightly different stipulations thanks to the Blueprint system. This lets anyone create their own modified version of a race, which other players can then play. (Hopefully PG takes the obvious next step and lets us create our own racing routes in the next game in the series!) The assortment of cars on offer is staggering, with far more to come with the Ultimate Edition content. PG have included numerous vehicles beloved in Australia, tailoring the lineup to the game's setting. And what a setting it is! As gorgeous as FH2 was, much of the game's northern Italy and southern France looked very much alike. Australia is an ideal setting for a game in this series, with a variation in biomes to rival anywhere else on the planet. There's the rainforest, there are cities, you have gorgeous beaches, farmland, the rocky terrain of the Outback, and that unbelievable sky. PG went to great pains to capture Australia's sky accurately, camping in the Outback with custom-built 12k cameras. Their efforts were certainly worthwhile, as this has far and away the most breathtaking sky I've ever seen in a game. I could gush about this wonderful game for pages and pages, but the bottom line is that you need to get this game if you enjoy racing games even the slightest bit. Even if you normally dislike racing games, download the free demo and give it a shot, and it will likely win you over. With Forza Horizon 3, Playground Games has reached such heights that I almost pity them for having to try to improve on it with the sequel in a couple of years.

I love the fact that this game is open world and you can drive anywhere off the main route. The graphics are amazing. I was looking for a replacement for Need For Speed Rivals and this did the job. Maybe the next Forza Horizon can have cops in it. This game is like driving in GTA V except with real life cars and logos. Also there's nobody trying to get at you like in GTA V. The only thing I don't like is that everyone drives on the wrong side of the road because it's in Australia. All in all, this is probably one of my all time favorite games.

I have never been disappointed with any Forza title, Horizon 3 is no different! This game is (with the exception of Forza 6) the best racing game I have played to date on Xbox One! The graphics, the gameplay, the community. All of it is exceptionally amazing! Anyone that likes racing, all the way from arcade style to simulation... The options let you tailor this game to how you like to play, and they reward you if you use simulation difficulty settings. All in all, just buy it! You won't be upset that you did!

Greatly enhanced presentation and performance. Forza 2 was fun but this new version has been much improved with solid physics and customization features that rival Forza 6. I'm completely satisfied with the Ultimate version and the play-ability. The graphics are detailed, the lighting is spectacular and the rain simulation is awesome. If you've been wondering if Forza might be your kind of game, buy this or the other Forza 3 versions and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Lots more music, lots more cars, lots more customization, very awesome casual racing. You can do co-op campaign finally, so you can race for position with your friends or team race for points, so everybody on your team wins with a little more ease. The collision physics are a bit off (Drivatars are bad and due to the physics, can shove you everywhere like they weigh 10 tons). Definitely worth the purchase for anybody into racing games, regardless of how casual you may be.

The first horizon was great, the second one was just ok, and this one is fantastic. The cars and environment are gorgeous on the Xbox one. The gameplay promotes reckless, fun driving as well as serious racing for fans of simulation driving games. Overall I am pleased with the pace of the game and selection of cars. The ultimate edition should be the only purchase you make, the car pass will add a lot more vehicles to the roster.
