Pro Tip, fully charge it before wearing the first time. The heart rate sensor was not working at all even though battery was at 75%, tried everything then finally charged fully and it works great. Upgraded from Fenix 6 pro solar. This watch definitely looks big on any wrist. But it definitely has that sports look and ruggedness. The AMOLED touchscreen is worth upgrading for me since I use maps a lot while hiking. The tracking is the same as Fenix 6 except maybe a little better with newer sensors. I will also add, for how big it is, it is very light

Recommend Epix 2 : Fitness enthusiasts, Health problems, and Regular Joe/Jane. Battery life last me roughly a full week. With nightly sleep monitoring turned on and anywhere from 3-5 workout routines monitored eg: lifting, swimming, and 1+hour walks. I use the various health tracking features to assist in monitoring health improvements or decreases. I am a U.S. Marine Corps Combat Veteran with over a decade of experience and a load of injuries. I use the information to help my doctors track various health measurements and activity progression. Basic watch has proven itself plenty durable. I chose to add an additional screen protector just encase because I live life and don’t have time to baby tools. You’ll notice the band is not the rubber/plastic but a stretch nylon material. I use this band for more aggressive activities and the original band when going out. I’ve tried quite a few other health trackers leading up to this one. What brought me back: free features, battery life, features, screen, and compatibility with other third party apps I use in conjunction with Garmin. Drawback’s(2): 1. The weightlifting app needs more development for those of us who do complex circuits containing multiple exercises-breaks-warmup before training set. It’s good enough and will continue to work on improving my understanding of building my own. 2. Isn’t so much a drawback as I hope it’ll be added to the next iteration that’s a solar band. Again I like to adventure whenever I get a inkling and thus a solar feature could help should my none planning occur at a time when the batteries low and I’m not anywhere near a charger. Overall another great Garmin product. Thank you

This is by far 100% better than my Fenix5S. I am sorry to say, because I thought that watch was first class. The battery life, 16 days if you raise to view vs 6 days of always on, and screen brightness is bar none!! The main reason I purchased was because the fenix did not have the battery life I needed to complete some of the long hikes with GPS. This is the only reason I was looking to upgrade, and weighed heavily between the new Fenix and this watch. I can say now owning for a few months, I am truly not disappointed. The extra money is worth it. Hold out if you can and enjoy. Oh, and BTW, I had a 5S, and graduated to the regular size, not the small and it does not seem too large for my wrist. I am a larger boned person, but it feels like a good size- not too large.

Garmin's epix (Gen 2) GPS Smartwatch in 47mm is a powerhouse for outdoor enthusiasts. Boasting advanced GPS technology, it offers precise navigation and tracking features. Its durable design withstands rugged environments, while the 1.3-inch display provides clear visibility in any condition. With extensive activity tracking, health monitoring, and smart notifications, it's a versatile companion for adventures. However, its premium features come at a higher price point. Overall, the Garmin epix (Gen 2) excels as a reliable and feature-rich GPS smartwatch for outdoor activities.

I purchased this after seeing YouTube reviews of golfers using this instead of getting the s70. It’s an amazing piece of hardware esp with the $300 discount. The Garmin Ecco system is fun and educational for your health. Works okay with iPhones. Can’t text or answer calls on it though. Check out the bands on Amazon.

I was stuck between the Fenix 7 and Epix 2…the Epix 2 won! The screen on this watch is amazing! The colors very vibrant and easy to read unlike the Fenix 7. I can see Garmin using this screen on its Fenix line in the future. I had too many Garmin Fenix 3,5,6 and now Epix2. The screen is a little dim on Fenix units so I went with something different.

Super recommended watch if you are an athlete or simply want to have the best smartwatch on the market. The battery life is very good compared to an Apple Watch or a Samsung Watch (6 days using all functions) The interface of the watch is very complete. At first you'll have a hard time learning where all the menus and functions are, but then you'll enjoy the whole interface. The 5 buttons are super useful and work great. You get used to just using the buttons, you won't end up using the touch screen. It's worth what it costs. Highly recommended.

Love this watch. I upgraded from my Garmin Fenix 3HR that finally couldn't hold a charge all day. I bit the bullet and bought this one instead of the new Fenix 7 sapphire. Does everything I want and I love that I dont have to charge but once every 6 days. I got 4 more days of battery life.

I had a series 5 Apple Watch, and the biggest downside was the half day battery life. The Epix 2 last at LEAST a week for me. This watch is great for everyday use! I just didn’t want an Apple Watch with my 13 Pro and wanted better battery life. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a durable well built watch that is distinct in its own.

I'm a long time Fenix series user and fan. This watch is simply a Fenix with amoled screen. I truly love this combination. If you're serious about your sport and want a watch with bright and colorful screen you must get Epix!

I love my fenix. The battery is amazing with the solar power charge and great maps for golfing with the huge display. The always on display is a plus. Not an OLED display but easily visible in sunlight and at night. Got it on sale which made me pull the trigger in the purchase. Would highly recommend
