Questions & Answers
So, the dryer runs but doesn’t heat. Power is fine, lint flow and clearance is clean it just won’t heat. How can I fix that?
Answered by GE AnswersHello - we’re sorry to hear that you’re having this issue and would love to share some tips that will help. A possible cause is that a fuse is blown, or a circuit breaker is tripped. In this case, the dryer may tumble but not heat. Check the building’s fuse/circuit breaker box and replace both fuses or reset both breakers. Your dryer may tumble if only one fuse is blown, or one breaker tripped. -- Another possible cause is that the “No Heat” temperature is selected - make sure to select a heat setting. -- If these tips don’t help resolve the issue, service may be needed. You can schedule online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is informative and please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with. Warm regards. Lauren@GEA
Is the plug 3 prong or 4?
Answered by GE AnswersOur electric dryers do not include a power cord as we do not know what electrical service you have in your home. It can be connected to a 3-or 4-wire 240 volt circuit depending on your needs. - Vikki@GEAppliances
