What is the manufacture date of the current stock being shipped?
Answered by Google TeamHi there. We aren't able to confirm the specific manufacture date of the unit that will ship with your order, as stock rotates regularly. You can find the manufacture date printed on the back of the device once it arrives, which will tell you when your specific unit will reach its end of life. Nest Protect (Wired) has a 10-year lifespan from the date of manufacture. You can find more details here: https://support.google.com/googlehome/answer/9249296

My house is already hardwired with First Alert Smoke/Carbon detectors. I was informed I would have to go with the same brand and model otherwise they would not work. So will I be able to replace one of these with a Nest wired? Will the others go off too?
Answered by jimboNO ... First Alert use 3 wires ... 2 for AC and 1 common for Alarm ... Nest only has the 2 AC wires ... it does Alerts to other Nests using Wifi
