The Pixel 7 Pro has been so good to me. I brought in my Pixel 4a, a budget choice I had made last year when I didn't want to get roped into an upgrade contract, and traded it in for this guy. I had seen reviews back and forth on the the 7 and 7 pro, and while I was originally going to get the 7, the 7 Pro's better battery life and display options ended up causing me to shift my choices. In the end, Best Buy's trade-in deal took $300 off the price, giving the pro the same price as if I had just paid for the normal Pixel 7. You might think that I should have gotten the 7 and saved $300, but in the end I prefer the larger screen, additional camera and the larger battery. I can choose to shift between 1080p or 1440p depending on what apps I'm using or the day of the week. 1080 during the week, 1440 on the weekend while I'm gaming and chilling. The camera is also fantastic, and has a telephoto lens that lets me zoom in super close, way better than my old pixel 4a could. Getting pictures of animals or friend's house-pets is also much easier to do when I'm across the room, not setting them off TOO much from the presence of their unwanted guests. As someone whose always been big on having options, I feel this was a fantastic choice for me.

The pixel 7 pro does everything the pixel 6 pro does but better & faster, fingerprint reader is faster, screen is brighter and less curvy at the edges, the quality of the built feels more premium, battery is better and you get nice additions such as the face unlock (which is not as good as what the pixel 4 was, but still works pretty good) and unblur photos feature. The tensor g2 chip really stands out in the photo department, the photos are just amazing and if easier and faster to take them even in night mode. If you like incremental upgrades and can spare the money then the upgrade is worth it.

My experience switching from a Pixel 4a 5g to this phone was seamless. The included USB-C transfer cable was very helpful with the transfer. The battery lasts all day and the camera is absolutely amazing! The only downside is that charging is incredibly slow using anything other than a PD charger... oh and Google didn't bother to include a PD charger, so be prepared to spend extra money. Read the reviews and tips/tricks for this phone. The display is set to 1080 by default and can be increased by changing a setting manually... but I did not notice a difference with the higher resolution. I would never use a phone this expensive without a case or screen protector. I removed the case to take the photos, but they show the front and rear protectors.
