So overall this game is really fun as long as you have friends to play with. Otherwise its pretty much impossible to win and gets boring quite quick doing the same thing over and over. The game itself is actually really fun when your playing with friends and even by yourself at first. You get surrounded by monsters and have to unload everything you have on em and then run for life all while trying to complete the objectives. There are a lot of weapons to choses from and you can use vehicles, turrets, bombs and lots of other goodies to help you out. The other problem I had with this game was that you cant win it unless all the other people playing the game attack the monsters base at the same time. This becomes a problem because I found tat not to many people play this game and its really hard to actually win the game. Also it is impossible to win this game by yourself for that reason. Finally there is no actual story which was also bad. Overall it is a really fun game but there are a lot of bad things about it to.

I purchased this game mainly for the free cross compatibility with the Playstation Vita. Overall after having tried it on both the Playstation 4 and Vita I can say that it is good - if it's your cup of tea. First off, I would highly recommend buying this item if you are thinking of buying it for any particular system as this item includes the Playstation 3 (download), Playstation Vita (download), and Playstation 4 (disc). It also includes all of the DLC on all three platforms if I am not mistaken. Purchasing this item will certainly save you some money if you already plan to buy it for any other one system and might want to play it later on any of the others. The basic gameplay of this item is similar to Diablo with a few differences that proved to be a little annoying. First, the graphics are not at the same level as Diablo. To myself that does not always mean too much as the game still looks good, but just be aware of it. Second, the control scheme is such that you have to use an analog stick to move your character and aim which, if you have ever played another game with that same feature (Dead Nation for example), can be... imprecise. Third, and most annoying, the enemies can NEVER be killed enough to where they no longer respawn. Some people might like that this feature is continuous, but personally I found it annoying as I kept having to go from one objective to another fighting enemies that I had just killed. With that in mind I did not get far enough for it to truly be a problem, but after each mission your character has to call for an extraction that has a timer on it. This means that not only do not have to wait for your ride to leave the level to get there, but also that your ride will only be there for so long before it leaves without you. Add to that the infinite enemies and that could easily be tedious in the later stages of the game if they chose to artificially enhance the difficulty. Like I said, I did not experience that too much but I could definitely see a potential problem on the horizon with that little mechanic. There is also a difficulty curve for single player as this title does not scale for multiplayer. The amount of enemies and how much health they have is only dependent of the difficult that it is set on. Friends are recommended for this title, but not necessary. Overall though this title can give you a good experience... if it's shortcomings are not a deal breaker for you. And I can certainly understand if they would not be acceptable.

After spending 700 hrs in Destiny I wanted to try something different. Helldivers was just what I needed. The game is a lot of fun, and it does take more coordination than just shooting at random since friendly fire is on. Jumping into multiplayer or going solo is so simple is actually ridiculous. If you want to jump on someones campaign you can do that by just selecting the mission you want to jump into and just like that you are on your way to conquer a planet with someone else. There are tons of weapons and perks to unlock so the game has a ton of replay value. All in all a great pickup, especially if you have a Vita, PS3 and PS4 since you get the game for all consoles.

This game is great to to play with friends or family. It has local multiplayer coop which my son & I enjoy playing. It's very challenging but rewarding as you progress through the campaigns. Decent graphics too.

I have a blast playing this game with friends, but I almost never play this game by myself. Helldivers seems too hard to do alone and there is not much of a campaign, just planets to run the same types of missions on. The game gets really laggy having 4 people playing on the same console. I would recommend this game to to people who have a group to play with and are able to take the time to learn the games odd mechanics.

This game gave me and my brother a run for out money. Hard as nails, but still fun to be had.

One of the best coop games for the ps4 at the moment. Hordes of aliens to kill and tons of weapons to upgrade.

Helldivers provides extensive challenge across a variety of skill levels. Lots of weapon options (as you earn them), multiple battle fronts, multiple player options (both on and off line), and, more enemies than you can kill! Higher challenge missions really do require multiple players to complete. You should not bore easily with this one.

We all play this game. its very fun only simulated violence no blood so not overly bad for kids.

Very similar to Earth Defense Force, except it is a top-down view. Lots of interesting weapons and packages. Easy to play, repetitive, really funny. Controls take some time getting used to and driving is the horror.

Seems like the new gen consoles have few multi player games that doesn't require networking. This game seems simple and once you're in the battle, it's enjoyable but challenging. My wife and I have played this game together many times and would recommend it.

This game is a real treat ... I think the basic game is available on PS store at a cheap price, but this is the version to get with all of the add-on content. Humorous, challenging, engaging ... everything you'd want in a game! Definitely recommended!

This game was amazing on PSN, the DLC alone was more than this game at full retail price. The coop is amazing and very addictive, the most important part is that you need some good friends to play with, once you get that out of the way it's one of the most intense and entertaining coop experiences you may have this year!

Great game with fun gameplay. Should be played with others online, but I prefer to play my games alone. Can still be enjoyed alone except the difficulty ramps up if you pick higher leveled planets. Good game and had a good experience with it.

It plays like a sleeker "Smash TV," except you can do more to customize your weapon loadout. Plus, you can play single player or join or create multi-player games. This game basically consists of multitude of 15-25 minute missions, so if you want to hop in and play a quick game, it is heavily encouraged.

This top down space shooter is awesome! It offers a very fun and challenging hook. Shoot down aliens and robots with weapons that you can upgrade as you level up your marine. You can play with friends or strangers online or offline. I'd recommend it for casual and serious gamers.

This is an awesome online cooperative twin-stick shooter with a community of players that, in my experience so far, is quite competent and welcoming. Even if you don't have a dedicated co-op partner, I would still encourage you to try this game out, as it is a lot of fun!

My brother and I love this game if nothing else because you can play it seriously or just have laugh. Top down shooter you either like them or you don't but this is a really really good one.
This review is from Pre-Owned Helldivers: Super Earth Ultimate Edition - PlayStation 4

Helldivers: Super-Earth Ultimate Edition delivers in multiplayer with some of the best gameplay and is really fun, The $20 I payed for it was well worth it with the content it gives you.
