Is that a personal laptop or I can not download any application or anything on it except through Microsoft
This does come with Windows 11 Home in S Mode which will prevent you from downloading third-party applications, but you can turn off S Mode. S Mode does help provide extra security for the unit and S Mode cannot be turned back on once turned off.
When I open the windows it shows that the processor speed is 1.7ghz but when I search for the processor speed on the internet it was 4.7ghz
Greetings from the Intel team. Thank you for your question. 1.7ghz is the base frequency of the Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor and can reach a Max Turbo Frequency of 4.70 GHz. CPUs do not always need to run at their maximum frequency. Some programs depend more on memory to run smoothly, while others are CPU-intensive. Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is an energy-efficient solution to this imbalance: it lets the CPU run at its base clock speed when handling light workloads, then jump to a higher clock speed for heavy workloads. Can a mouse be used with this laptop? Do not especially like touch screen>
Yes, you can connect a wired or wireless mouse to this laptop.
Can I charge it via the Type C port ?
Thank you for the question. No. The USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors. That's a feature you're more likely to find on Envy and Spectre laptops.
In the specifications for this laptop it says "Windows 11 Home" and in the features it says "Windows 11 Home in S mode"--which is it?
It defaults in S mode. But you can download an app to remove the S mode, which I immediately did!
