Great buy. The speed is great. I haven't experienced any lagging since I started using it. Unlike some other laptops I have used in the past, the fan on this hardly has any noise, it just works quietly and effortlessly. The keyboard is so smooth, it makes typing fun! The only thing missing on the keyboard is the light on the "num lock". It should have a light to indicate when it is on like the "caps lock". The battery life is great, I get up to 5 hours on a full charge before needing to plug it up. This is very good overall, I love it!

Great deal. Screen doesn't get all the bright as most other HP machines I've purchased which is sad. Its a matte display though so you wont have reflection issues which is a huge plus! The integrated gpu in this cpu is a bit better than amd's APUs so moba gaming is no problem at higher settings. The CPU is pretty fast. Nothing bad to say other than the display was a bit lackluster in the brightness department

Took a tumble off my truck hood, big ding in the corner but still working.

Wanted a 17 inch screen laptop to replace a 22 inch monitor which died--the monitor had been attached to a desktop computer which was also near death. Considered another desktop and monitor but decided that the extra expense, all the wires, and lack of portability was not worth it. This was the only laptop with a 17 inch screen in my Best Buy store for less than $1000; I wanted to get it that day rather than wait for shipping (remember my monitor had died). Windows 11-ready quad core i5 cpu, 8 gigs RAM, and 256 gigs SSD, all for $619. Easy to switch out of Windows S mode. Fast! Great looking screen!

This laptop is a steal. They are selling the inferior model with horrible 720p graphics for $629 on here. This screen is 1080P IPS. It matters. It looks beautiful It's an 11th gen intel with Iris graphics.. The $629 model on here is 10th gen with 620 graphics. That one at $629 would be a good deal IF this one wasn't such a steal. It's in Win 10 S mode. You can convert it for free right in settings to full win 10 home. It takes 5 minutes to complete. Win S is simply a protection mode where only approved apps can be installed. It's easy to switch The i5 in this thing is a beast for an i5. The AMD Ryzen are faster with better graphics but again this is a steal

For the price of $599 you can not beat it. SSD hard drive HD 17in screen and a good I5 cpu. The only con I have is that the pictures are misleading does not have a CD/DVD drive. I asked myself when was the last time I put a CD or DVD in my last laptop and I couldn’t even remember. I have switched to streaming Netflix etc… If you are looking for a laptop that you primarily use for streaming and surfing the Internet this is the one to get. If you’re looking for a machine for gaming I would pass.

I bought this HP to replace my old HP that was over 8 years old and starting to have issues. I chose it for the price and for the larger screen. It's definitely faster than my old one. I was also able to get a $100 refund when it went on sale after I bought it. So far, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

This is an excellent laptop. Set up was quick and easy. I have had it for two years, and it works like it did when I first purchased it.

I am giving it an 5 because I love it, BUT the speaker is very low at maximum volume so not suitable for music, AND there is no DVD drive. But for the price, compared to others, it meets my needs, but sad I couldn't get the very basics for nearly 700. The battery doesn't last long at all the few times I have unplugged it. Maybe I need to replace it, I don't know really. Now that we are having power outages, it would be nice to have a battery that lasts a few hours at least, this one doesn't seem to last even an hour, I haven't actually timed it though.

Absolutely love my laptop. Perfect size for schoolwork and having two screens up at once. Perfect for research.

I bought this computer for my wife’s new business. Although it doesn’t have a cd drive, it has plenty of USB ports for attachments. It has a large screen and is light weight so She can travel with it easily. It has it is slick and works fast when connected to the internet. It was a good price for quality .

Very good computer. Screen is nice in full HD 1080 and is what I wanted, keyboard is comfortable. Computer is fast and responsive for any and all light to medium duty, browsing with 20-30 or more tabs open, email, home office. Processor is Intel Core 5, 11th Generation, 4 cores - very adequate and quite fast and responsive for a non-gamer. Battery holds a long time. Very happy with this purchase as with my two previous HP 17", this time it isn't Envy model but the price is right!

Great laptop big screen the battery last at least 3 hrs

i am not very computer literate so i wanted something easy to use . this was recommended to me and i am very happy with it. nice size screen. easy to use, would have preferred touch screen but didnt think about at time of purchase. also got 18 months same as cash which was nice
