There's not a whole lot that one can say about printer inks for the major brands of printers. In my experience, all of them (including this HP magenta ink cartridge) produce fine colors, but never seem to last as long as you would like. Also, the price seems to be nearly an absolute constant, whether you buy online or in one of the brick and mortar office stores. I live near Best Buy, so it's convenient for me to pick up ink cartridges from them. I would advise against buying a generic brand, which is cheaper, because I've gone that route and find that they do not perform as well. I also strongly advise against trying to refill your own cartridges with ink. I've also tried this and it is a mess. You're much better off paying a little more for the brand ink cartridges. About the only other thing I would say is that you definitely want to get this, the XL version, rather than the regular version. It is a better price per amount of ink, and will of course last longer than the regular cartridges.

HP ink is consistently good ink. The XL cartridges are the way to go over the basic cartridges - they last much longer and are worth the extra money. They are easy to install and can be recycled. Good value.

Hp makes great cartridges. They give you great value for you money. They seem to last a long time for home use.

920 cartridges are made for easy removal and installation. XL package is worth the extra money.

XL ink is worth looking into since it does turn out to be a little cheaper per page. These inks are straightforward to install and Best Buy lets you recycle your old ones for a discount which is nice.

The sale price of this type of ink i.e. genuine, original, and XL, is simply marvelous compared with the regular price of the same standard, non-XL ink cartridge.

Our HP Officejet printer/scanner requires 920 magenta ink. We always buy the 920XL because it lasts longer. Along with the yellow and cyan ink, we get good color rendition on plain paper and good printed pictures on matte or glossy paper.

This magenta ink works well for my hp officejet 6500a-plus printer. It lasts me around half a year, and best buy tends to have the best prices on them. Often it is cheaper to buy each color individually if they are on sale, than to buy the XL combo package, since these go on sale more often. However, they do run out more quickly than advertised due to the printer using a combination of the colors, with the blacks, to make a 'deeper black color' unless you specify your printer not to do that. So if you only print b/w, but still are out of color, that's why.

The original manufacturer ink works the best in the printer because the printer identifies that is an original.

This ink was compatible with my printer and lasts for many prints. It does a great job each time.
